None of them spoke as they made their way up the stairs, and into what seemed like Juvia's father's bedroom.
Juvia shuffled towards the closet and started to look through it while Gray stood in front of a picture. It was a family portrait consisting of a younger Juvia, her father and a woman who looked exactly like his soon-to-be wife. He looked at the picture in awe before a petite voice broke his train of thought.
"Here you go", Juvia voiced and thrust the shirt into his hand. He looked down towards her face. To him, it seemed like he was towering over her, because of how small and petite she was. She stepped back, looking slightly frightened.
"I prefer you use the bathroom to change", Juvia suggested and pointed towards the bathroom, before heading to the door.
"Wait", Gray hesitated before he approached her, her back faced towards him.
"Yes?", she asked without turning herself around.
"First, may you please look at me when I speak?", he questioned and with a sigh, she complied with his request and turned to face him.
"Are you really okay with this marriage?"
She looked at him and wondered. Was she okay with this marriage? Had she ever thought about that? Juvia only agreed because her father had requested for her to get married to this man.
"I don't know...", she whispered and he made a confused face.
"What do you mean you don't know?", he asked unclear about what she meant. Was Gray the only one who was excited to be married to this woman? Did she not think the same way he did?
"I said I don't know", she repeated. "This wasn't something of my choice. I didn't get my hopes high for this marriage. I had a future to look forward to, but this marriage has ruined it"
"What do you mean 'ruined it'?", he asked yelling slightly. "You can be whatever you want to be even after we're married!"
"You just don't get it do you?", she asked also yelling. "I have no future after marriage. You just don't get it because you're not a woman. You don't have the responsibility of giving birth to kids, taking care of kids, cleaning up the house, cooking, and all that other stuff married woman do!"
Gray just didn't get it. "Why are you making such a big deal about this?", he asked but Juvia only stared at him then sighed.
"It's nothing you will understand", she waved him off. " By the way, you should hurry up and get changed so that neither of our fathers thinks something strange happened in here", Juvia left, shutting the door behind her, the sound echoing off the walls.
Gray felt strange. Why did he experience Deja vu just now when he had this fight? Why did this quarrel remind him so much of the ones his father and mother had? Why?, Why?, Why? he thought as he changed into the shirt Juvia gave him.
He wasn't ready to go downstairs and be bombarded with a million questions, so he waited in the bathroom cooling off his head.

Juvia made her way slowly down the stairs, her temper uncooled, her cheeks flustered.
"Dear, what took you so long?", her father inquired and Juvia let out an inaudible sigh.
"We just had some...difficulties", was that even an appropriate word to use? Juvia didn't know and didn't care.
"Nothing funky happened up there", Silver asked curiously.
"No, nothing out-of-order happened upstairs", Juvia replied, grateful that Gray hadn't done something of that sort.
"I knew I disciplined my son properly", Silver said with relief. "I was wondering what he would do after he got his pants in a bunch."
Ray choked on his tea and Juvia's face flushed but she quickly brushed off what Silver had said. She didn't want to think about Gray right now. Juvia just needed time to clear her head.

Hallucinations, hallucinations.
But of whom?
Of his mother.
Gray looked at himself in the mirror and saw a reflection of his mother. She had the same grin on her face the day she left him.'But I'm nothing like my mother ' Gray thought to himself. He looked up again in the mirror, but the image of his mother's smiling face was gone, and he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.
Gray splashed some cold water on his face and shook his head. Thoughts like these were best if they were pushed at the back of his head, he thought.
He unlocked the door to the bathroom and with a click, he turned the knob of the room to be greeted with a gush of warm air which smelled of pure lavender.
Gray opened his eyes and to his surprise saw Juvia standing in front of him with a look of disapproval.
"Your father is waiting downstairs for you", she informed before making her way to the main floor of the house, Gray not too far behind.
"I must say", Silver started speaking. "When you two stand side by side, you look good together"
There was silence. The awkwardness between the two youths made it hard for neither of them to speak until Juvia broke the silence.
"Um...thank you?", her voice sounded uneasy and unsure.
"Anytime", Silver replied with a smile. "Anyways I just wanted to tell you that I plan on getting Gray married to Juvia, so I'm going to ask for a get together at my house so Juvia and Gray get the chance to talk to each other. Sounds good?"
"Sounds great!", Ray replied with a smile. "I'm looking forward to seeing my grandchildren very soon"
This made both Juvia and Gray blush.
Before Gray could hear another embarrassing thing from his father, he ushered him out of the door.
"Father we should hurry and get back home, it's getting late", Gray said as him and his father were at the door.
"Oh yes yes", His father said as he turned around and waved at both Ray and Juvia.
"I look forward to seeing both of you again", Silver yelled from the car.
Juvia watched as the car drove off, her thoughts running wildly in her head.
