"I called Ray and we will go visit him and his daughter's house first," Silver stated as he sat in the car and gesture for his son to sit in too.

Gray shrugged. He really didn't care about all this marriage stuff. He just wanted to get it over with.

The car ride was silent, but when they reached their destination, Gray took in the beauty of the scene in front of him.

The house wasn't as big as his own, but it was a decent size and it looked kind of cute that way. The sides of the carved pavement were decorated with brightly colored flowers, the grass on the lawn was greener than any shade of green he had ever seen, it was neatly trimmed, and swayed elegantly with the wind.

As Gray took in the beauty of the house, he also saw a petite figure who was tending the flowers, which he guessed was a woman. As he focused more, he could clearly see what she looked like. Her hair had a unique but beautiful shade of blue, and the long but curly strands fell over her shoulder as she slightly bent her back to water another bundle of flowers, her deep ocean blue eyes sparkling with every drop of water that fell from the can and splattered on a petal. Her face and skin were as white as snow, her pink lips were curled up in a small and innocent smile. The shawl which was draped around her small and delicate shoulders fluttered in the wind as a gentle breeze picked up.

Gray couldn't believe it. Such a beautiful being like her could exist in the world?

The car stopped and Gray was eager to get out as quickly as possible. He walked towards the woman who was tending to a different bush of flowers.

Gray suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. Why did this feel all too familiar? Then he remembered his mother, and how she used to love flowers. He pushed her out of his mind. Gray didn't need to remember his mother at a time like this.

"Um...Excuse me?", Gray spoke and noticed how the woman's body suddenly became tense, getting startled then looking up at him, their eyes meeting for few seconds before she looked away and ran into the house.

"Papa", Juvia spoke trying to get the older man's attention.

"Yes, my dear?", Ray responded and stopped whatever he was doing to look at his daughter and admire the woman she has become. His wife was right when she said that their infant would grow up to be a wonderful young lady. Both his women had a striking resemblance to one another, and Ray's eyes would soften every time he looked at his daughter. It was like looking at a reflection of his wife.

"Papa, they are here", Juvia spoke as she helped her father set-up the table."May you please tend to the guests and keep them busy while I go and pray to Mama?"

"Okay, my dear", Ray answered as she scurried away.

Juvia placed herself in front of her mother's picture, sitting on her knees.

She clapped her hands together and prayed. Prayed for her father's health, prayed for her health, prayed for everyone's wellbeing, and finally for everything to go smoothly today. She opened her eyes, slightly bowed, then crept her way into the kitchen to prepare dinner. As she was working, she saw her father talking to his best friend.

"Silver, it has been a long time!", Ray exclaimed as he wrapped his arms around his former friend in a tight hug. Then he turned to the boy beside Silver which Juvia recognized from earlier.

"And your son hasn't looked better", Ray said as he also embraced the young lad.

"Please, come in", Ray welcomed them in and they were lead to the couch in the living room."My daughter is coming with some snacks, what drinks would you like?"

"Tea!", they both said in unison

Juvia chuckled silently to herself while Ray chuckled out loud.

"The apple never falls far from the tree", he said and with that, he headed towards the kitchen

"You're done?", Ray asked as he grabbed the tray of snacks and tea

"Yes papa", she replied."I just hope everything goes smoothly today"

"Oh...it will"

Ray and the beautiful woman Gray saw earlier made their way into the kitchen and his father and going-to-be father-in-law started to spark a conversation, which later turned into roaring laughter and lame jokes.

"Um...excuse me?", Gray heard a voice speak but he just ignored it

"Excuse me?", the voice became louder. Then suddenly someone touched his arm which made him turn his head.

"You're spilling your tea", the bluenette said in a soft and angelic voice(or at least that's what it sounded like to Gray).

"W-what?", Gray didn't quite get what the woman was trying to say. He didn't feel anything on his pants or shirt.

She pointed in the direction of his shirt and he looked down. Oh boy oh boy. She was right, dammit! This isn't the way he wanted to present himself in front of his future wife. What would she be thinking right now? He messed up his first impression and looked like a complete buffoon. (If you count the one in front of the house, this would be his second impression).

The laughter died down and soon everyone(which was only three people) was staring at Gray.

"My dear, take him upstairs and get him a change of clothes", Ray suggested and Juvia nodded. She headed up the stairs and gestured for Gray to follow, to which he complied.

"And don't take being alone as a chance to do stuff !", Silver added and Gray felt his cheeks grow warm

"Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!"
