Juvia was in no place to judge others because she herself knew that type of feeling all too well.
She knew she had made a mistake when she decided that judging her fiance was okay. He was the one person whom she would have to spend the rest of her life with.
Juvia's sentence was cut off by the warm embrace her partner had given. It wasn't a brief embrace-he had actually held her for a very long time which had taken Juvia off guard. Nonetheless, she returned his hold on her by wrapping her hands around his torso, before he had let go of her.
A small blush tinted Juvia's cheeks as she looked into Gray's eyes. Was she wrong to think he was a cold person? All of a sudden she started to feel ashamed of her judgement and cast her eyes down to the floor.

Gray didn't know what had taken over him when he had hugged Juvia. He had held her for a very long time, much to his surprise, before letting go. She was warm, he had to admit, and Gray was a man who never liked the warmth of others. But he had found Juvia's warmth very pleasant, and he welcomed it with open arms( A/N: Literally...if you know what I mean...)
He held her, but not for very long because Gray knew he didn't want to make the situation even more awkward. Gray let go of her, heat began to rise to his cheeks as he saw her eyes stare into his before she cast them down. Did she think he was taking advantage of the situation because no! Gray was not those types of men...maybe.
It was dead silent between the two of them, neither knowing what to do. They had tuned out the sounds of the music, laughter, and chattering.
"Sorry", Gray finally whispered feeling like an a-hole for making Juvia think he took advantage of her. But who was to deny Gray when he said that this woman was hella full of surprises. Because what she said next had left him flabbergasted.
"That's quite alright", Juvia whispered back finally meeting his eyes and smiling. "To be honest with you I didn't mind it at all, it was nice".
Gray Fullbuster was left completely astonished, eyes wide. How could she muster up the confidence to say such...such...bold words?
Someone tapped Gray's shoulder and much to his surprise he found his father right beside him.
"Oh I see Gray...", Silver remarked before chuckling to himself, thinking about something silly."I actually came ask if I can pull you both aside for just a moment?"
Both of them unlatched themselves from each other and followed Silver to a secluded area in the ballroom, far away enough so that no one could hear them.
"Ray and I had a small talk and we have decided that just for the sake of not waiting too long, we will hold the marriage in 3 days...", Silver whispered and Gray was shocked more than ever. He thought his father understood him and would give him more time. Isn't three days too short for preparations and stuff?
"What about all the preparations?", Juvia asked and Gray looked at her to make sure she wasn't somehow reading his mind.
"Oh don't worry dear, that can all be done in about two days max, leave that to me and Ray", Silver assured her and she simply nodded in response."I just have a favour to ask and it isn't a big one"
"Go on dad", Gray ushered him and Silver continued.
"I want none of you to feel forced into this marriage. With the 2 days you have, I want you to get to know each other better and on the third day, come and tell me if you are ready and committed to this marriage, because I don't want it to already start falling apart because you two are not compatible", Silver finished and it was dead silence between the three of them.
"Alright dad we will", Gray whispered and a wide grin was plastered on Silver's face before he skipped away, leaving the two of them alone...again.

"And that concludes our party!", Silver's voice boomed on the microphone."Thank you and have a great night!"

"Father", Juvia voiced as the driver started the car. "Is it neccessary to get to know Gray? You already know what my answer will be about this marriage..."
"I know dear, I know. But I don't want to make you feel like you are forced into this marriage because I told you to agree to this", Ray said and sighed.
"If you say so", Juvia said and looked out the window only to catch a glimpse of someone. Someone with red curly hair and bright green eyes...
