A/N: Before we start of this chapter I want to apologize for being so late with this update. But some stuff has been going on and that's why I simply had no time for writing. I hope you can forgive me and thanks for understanding. XXX BlackRoses
Damon's pov
Time is a weird thing. I thought while pretending to listen to the teacher in front of the class.
Time, it slows down and makes the awful times seem longer, but it goes faster and makes the good times seem to go by in a second. That's exactly how my life looked now. The precious moments I shared with Keiths went by way to fast while the moments without him seemed to be lasting forever.
I was glad Thanksgiving was nearing quickly, because it meant that I had no school, a whole day where the house smelled like heaven and a nice Thanksgiving dinner with mine and Keith's family.
And because Keith and his mother were coming over, Drake decided to ditch his friends and have dinner with us. And between Thanksgiving and Christmas were only a a few weeks. Things were looking good and I can say I was actually really happy and having a great time with Keith.
I startled out of thoughts when the bell ring and I could finally leave this living Hell and go to Keith. The cafe had become our safe haven where we would hang out most of the time after school. Of course I hadn't forgotten about the guy in front of the window, but I had pushed it to the back of my head.
Today was a sunny day and made the leafless trees appear less depressed. Keith and I walked close next to each other over the pavement to the cafe. Keith told me a funny story about his neighbour and a bucket of water and I heard only half of what he said.
"Damon, I know that it's November and not really warm, but do you want to grab a sandwich and some coffee to go and have lunch with me at the park?" He asked and I looked up at him, meeting his expectant eyes and I smiled.
"Of course, it's a nice day to be at the park." I said and not long after we sad with our food and drinks in the park under our usual now leafless weeping willow. We both knew we were observing each other in silence while eating our lunch.
The low sun with it's golden rays gave him a halo around his blonde hair. Where the light hits his left eye it's bright colors took my breath away and I was overwhelmed by the emotions I saw in them.
As I leaned in his eyes twinkled with mischief as he quickly took a bite from his sandwich. I smirked and planted a kiss on his nose before I took a huge bite from his sandwich as well.
"Hey!" He exclaimed staring at the small piece of bread he had left. I laughed at his silly face and offered him a bite of mine.
"Don't you ever try that again." Keith threatened and I raised my eyebrows coming a little closer.
"Or what?" I asked challenging him to come up with something. But I had trapped him with my gaze as I kept closing the space between us until there was no space left and my nose touched his. I smiled as he let out a little sigh and kissed him gently before pulling back teasingly.
But he was quick and grabbed my neck before I was too far away and he pulled me back against his lips. We melted against each other and my arms found their way to his waist.
We both jumped apart when the alarm on my phone went off. "Oh shit, we have to go back." I said checking the time.
"We're lucky you set an alarm." Keith said with relief in his voice. We indeed were. I'm sure that if I didn't we would have ended up being terribly late due to our make out session.
The days went my like this, almost carefree and filled with joy. We became more reckless, maybe too reckless. We didn't care, but we should've.
Finally Thanksgiving arrived, I smelled it before I realized the date. My mother had a habit on Thanksgiving to start cooking really early and make us a nice brunch when we woke up. When I rolled out of bed I decided to take a shower and get dressed before following the delicious smell that came from downstairs.
