I had the music turned down to the lowest it could be so I would be able to hear everything in the background and still be able to hear the music. I walked past of couple of people when I looked up at the building that I knew that Jake Friar was in.I walked up to it and looked in the window. I saw him sitting there with a couple of other guys.
"Boo." I heard Justine say. I turned and looked at her. "What is this place? And why did you want me to come here with you?" she asked. I took my earphones out of my ears.
"Well, it's a restaurant where there is Karaoke and I thought it would fun. Please?"
"Well, lucky for you, I am in a singing mood and hungry. So, a plus plus for you."
"I know right." we walked in and a waitress led us to a table close to Jake. I looked over at him for a second until his friend turned around and saw me. I looked back over at Justine. She was looking at the menu.
"What you think you getting?" she asked me. I shrugged then realized she wasn't looking at me.
"I don't know yet. I'm thinking some wings. You know how much I love chicken." she looked up at me and raised an eyebrow.
"Why are there a couple of guys just staring at you?" she said. I turned around and sure enough, Jake and his posse of friends were looking at me. I smiled lightly then turned back to face Justine.
"The one in the middle is kinda cute." she said. I nodded. The one in the middle was Jake. And yeah, he's cute but he's not really my type.
"Yeah. Sure." I said. Justine squinted her eyes.
"You're up to something." she said.
"I am no such thing."
"Victoria, what's going on?" she asked that's when I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. I looked up and there stood Jake. He was a lot taller than I thought he would be. I mean, for some reason, I thought he was supposed to be like 5'10''. But, he looks more along the lines of 6'5''."Well, might I say, you ladies are looking real beautiful tonight." Jake said.
"Thank you." I said. Justine raised an eyebrow and nodded.
"Thank you."
"Jake." he said holding out his hand.
"Justine is over there and I'm Victoria."
"Well, nice to meet you, Victoria and Justine."
"Nice meeting you too." I said.
"I would love to buy you both a drink, if it's fine with you?" he asked. I looked over at Justine. I could tell that she was sort of angry.
"Uh, yeah, but it has to be non alcoholic. We're only 18." Justine said. Jake smiled.
"Ok, what can I get you?" he asked.
"Um, any drink with mango in it." I said.
"Strawberry passion fruit." Justine said.
"OK, I'll be right back. Don't you go anywhere." Jake said walking away. I looked over at Justine. She nodded.
"I-"
"Just tell me later." she said cutting me off. I nodded and watched the people that were singing. I think they were singing Kelly Clarkson. But, I could be wrong. I don't know much of her songs.
Jake came back, not only with our drinks, but his friends as well. He put our drinks down.
"I was wondering if my friends could sit here too. I mean, the table has enough seats for 8 people. It was only two you guys and now adding us 3 makes 5."
