It's now a couple of days later and I was laying on Jake's chest, watching some movie he chose. My mind was going through a million things a minute. One second, I was worried about watching the video Rebecka gave me. The next second, I was thinking about what Zach and Dominik said. I guess I was really deep in thought, because I didn't feel Jake move me to the side. He sat up, stretching, looking at me.

"Are you ok?" I nodded sitting up as well. I grabbed my phone off the table and looked at the messages I had gotten, but decided to ignore them all. I looked back up at Jake. He was staring at me.

"What? Do I have something on my face?" I asked rubbing my face roughly.

"No." he said laughing. "I just like to look at you. You're so beautiful." he took my hand into his and kissed it gently. He then laid back down in his original spot and tapped his chest telling me to lay back down. I rolled my eyes playfully and did it. After we had got comfortable, I felt him playing in my hair.

"Jake?"

"Hmm?"

"I got a question." I said quietly. I thought I said too low, when he didn't respond at first, but he mumbled a ok. "Were you really worried?" he chuckled.

"Yeah, I love you and you were hurt or worse. I was fucking terrified of losing you. " my breathing hitched as he said the first couple of words. Yeah, I love you.

He said it so calmly, like it was something so casual to say to a person. Yeah, I love you.

I kept replaying it in my mind. Even though I already knew that he felt that way, deep down inside, I still was scared and concerned. This man loves me and he doesn't know why I'm here. I shuddered slightly.

I guess my quietness was worrying him, he moved slightly to look at me. I looked up at him. "It's ok, you don't have to say it back to me now. I know I said it too fast but I honestly feel it. I love you, Victoria. There's no if, ands, or buts about it." I nodded then kissed his chin.

"Thank you." I whispered.

"No, thank you. For coming into my life." I smiled looking down, tracing his muscles on his arm. "So, I have some good news for you." he said after kissing the top of my head.

"Hmm?"

"Remember when I said I had a friend who works at an art exhibit." I sat up to look at him.

"No." he chuckled.

"Well, I have a friend that works at an art exhibit."

"Yeah, I got the jist of it." I said playfully. He smiled.

"Well, I showed that friend your paintings and he showed it to his boss and they want you to have your own art show." I raise my eyebrows.

"Huh?"

"You have your own art show." I looked over at the door. Great, another thing I got to do. "You're not happy?" he asked.

"No, I am. I promise I am, I'm just," I sighed. "Nervous." he grinned.

"I know, but you'll be fine. Your paintings are amazing just like you are and, I have faith that you'll sell every single one of your paintings."

"You think so?" I asked raising an eyebrow. He nodded.
"I know so." he kissed my cheek.

"Jake?" I mumbled as we laid back in our original spots.

"Yes?"

"Thank you." I whispered with my face buried in his neck. He chuckled.

"Anything for my baby girl." He had fell asleep shortly after we had laid back down. After a while, I felt like I had to pee. I release myself from his grip then walked out to the bathroom.

After I was finished, I walked out to the kitchen to get something to snack on. Yeah, I said it. Yes, I'm getting something to eat. I'm hungry. After Jermaine had forced me to eat the other day, I haven't stopped eating. Well, I have when I'm sleep or in the bathroom but other than I've been eating a lot. And no, I'm not pregnant. Ain't no way.

I noticed something flash. I looked around out the refrigerator and looked at the light. It was Jake's laptop, and it was unlocked! I looked around before walking over to it. I messed around for a little bit before I found the right program I needed.

I smirked to myself and put in the name o Danny's case. Or well, his case number/letters. DXW01298. A couple of seconds later, Danny's face popped up on the screen. It was his mugshot. His eyes were puffy, obviously from crying. I quickly scrolled down before I would start crying.

I read through his whole case and found nothing worthwhile. I mean, they only charged him because of 'probable cause'. Since he was the 'last known' person seen with Vanessa, they charged him as her murderer. I sigh as I closed the tabs.
