I looked around at Jake's house. It was smaller than I had imagined, but then again, he was the only one living here. The place was mostly dark. With black curtains and a black sofa. But it had random spurts of color. A dark red rug and some paintings hanging on the walls. The furniture and decorations were everything I had imagined someone like Jake would have.
"You want something to drink?" Jake asked interrupting my train of thought. I looked back at him and smiled.
"What you got?"
"Water, Gatorade, grape juice, and beer. But, you ain't getting a beer." I smiled.
"I'll have a Gatorade, I guess." he nodded then walked back into the kitchen. I sat on the couch and unwrapped the paintings while admiring them. I do admit, these paintings are some of the best things I ever drew. I also like the one that Jermaine had created. It was different and weird. Much like him.
"Wow," Jake mumbled. I looked up at him. He was staring at the paintings. "They're beautiful," he said barely above a whisper. He set the Gatorade on the coffee table then held his hand out. "May I hold them?" I nodded and let him take it. He stared at the painting for what seemed like forever. "Vic, this is amazing." he looked at me. "I can't believe you made it seem like these paintings were like children's drawings. This belongs in a museum." I smiled.
"Seriously?" I asked nervously. He smiled and nodded.
"Yes, Victoria, you have true talent. I can't believe no one has ever told you this before."
"Well, what can I say, I just started not too long ago." I said truthfully.
"Vic, you have to get this in a museum."
"How can I do that? Isn't it like impossible to get art in a museum?" he nodded slightly.
"Yeah, but not if you have true talent." I stared at him silently before looking at the paintings again.
"Do you really think I'm talented? You don't have to lie. I can take brutal honesty."
"I would never lie to you, Victoria. It's not in my nature. I'm telling you the truth." we stared at each other for minute. He leaned in and kissed me. I stared at him for a second before closing my eyes and kissing him back. He started running one of his hands through my hair and the other on my thigh. Once that hand had got very close to my area, I pulled away. He looked at me worried.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"I uh," I put my hand to my lips. "I uh, have to pee." he chuckled.
"The bathroom is the last door to the left." he pointed down the hall. I smiled weakly then walked to the bathroom as fast as I could without looking like a crazy person. Once I was in the bathroom, I closed the door and turned the water on. I put my back to the door and sighed.
"What the hell did you get yourself into, Victoria?" I asked myself. "You're doing this for Danny, for Danny." i sighed as I got a text message. I looked at my phone to see I got a text from an unknown number.

I see you have gotten closer to the pig, now it's time for phase 2.
1. Gain access to his laptop and go to the files named DXW01298
2. Copy those files onto a flash drive of your own
3. Go through the files and find the important information
Also find out what he knows from the case, even though there are files with some information on it, it doesn't mean ALL the information is there

I sighed closing my eyes and locking my phone. "You alright in there?" Jake asked. I glanced at the time realizing that I've been in the bathroom for a while.
"Yeah, I uh, needed to fix my makeup." I lied.
"You don't wear makeup." I rolled my eyes pulling a thing of eyeliner and mascara out of my jacket pocket. I put some on as quickly and neatly possibly.
"I do wear makeup. Just not as much as the normal girl out there." I opened the bathroom door and smiled at him. He looked at my eyes, noticing the change. He raised an eyebrow.
"You looked better without the makeup on. And what makes you think you aren't a normal girl? What makes someone normal? Hmm?" I shrugged. "You are perfect the way you are my little weird muffin." I smiled. "Now for real though, take that makeup off."
I did as I was told. Jake handed me a rag and I washed the makeup off my face. I could see him watching me out the corner of my eye. I smiled to myself at to how whipped this boy was. Getting the information I needed was going to be as easy as taking candy from a baby.
