Chapter:34

[3RD PERSON'S POV.]

Taehyung was standing alone in a park smiling and happy.Despite the coldness and the snow continuously falling above him,he seemed so happy and the signature rectangular smile on his face.The Christmas lights were still bright and colourful giving a festive vibe around the area.Haneul was looking at him from a distance,she knew it was him but she didn't dare to call him.She didn't know why she was holding the urge to call his name.

It felt as if they were in a movie,everything was happening so slow yet it was so vivid like she's watching something she wasn't a part of but she knew everything.The way his soft gaze met her,it struck something on her.The innocence his eyes radiated were still the same for her and she started to feel strange things happening inside her tummy but he smiled.

He smiled looking at her.

That's when Haneul's phone started to Buzz continuously making a strange noise.

She immediately opened her eyes and found herself in her bed all alone.She extended her hands searching for the phone in the night stand to stop the noise.

It was just a dream,she thought.

When she looked at the phone,it displayed.

12:00 AM

Her heart dropped looking at the screen.Tears started to roll down from her cheeks before she slid off the red button turning it off.She snuggled deeper in her bed making herself a cocoon.She hugged the pillow beside her tightly,letting more tears roll down from cheeks.What could she do when there's nothing she could do to spoil that longing for him.

She cried more remembering the plans she made for his birthday which we're just a plan now because she couldn't do anything.It's not the first time she saw him on her dream but this time it hurted her the most.

People say when someone wants to see you,they appear in your dream.Maybe that's why they appear in each other's dream because they couldn't actually meet each other.Not when there was a huge wall separating them.

After crying for hours reminishing the wasted memories with him,she decided to stop.It was hard for her but she remembered what her mom said to her a few days ago.She wipes her tears with the hem of her shirt and heaves a long sigh.She knows it's not easy to forgot someone in a blink of an eye,it takes time.

It takes time to heal.

Haneul takes her phone in hand and decides to text him,she knows it's stupid but she just wants to let him know that she remembers him even after the things they've been through.She wanted to let him know she has already forgiven him and she is ready to move on.

"At the end,we can't hold onto something forever that's isn't even our to start with."She mumbles to herself.

She muster up all the courage and texts him.

HANEUL:
Happy Birthday Tae!

Haneul puts her phone back in the night stand before laying in the bed again.She has already accepted the truth that if something is meant for you,it will come back but if it's not,it will never come back.She knows Taehyung will not reply to her and she doesn't want to have those expectations that will only hurt her at the end.

She was still dazed in her own world suddenly her phone vibrates making her starled.She immediately took her phone in hands and slide the screen only to reveal a message she wasn't expecting.

His reply made her smile,she said she wasn't expecting it but a part of her knew she was lying,lying to herself.Though his reply was too short,it sparked a hopeful gleam inside her head but she wouldn't admit it.
