I lay in bed thinking of all the stuff that happened over the last two weeks. I felt a tear run down my face.
"Why did my parents have to die?" I said to myself. "Why couldn't the shooter have missed them?" I felt as though the world was out to get me. "Why would fate have it this way? I'm going to be the teenage pop star who lost her parents. They are going to expect me to be down all the time and never going to want to sing again." I could feel anger start to boil over. "Who do they think they are?" I got out of bed and changed into a red dress and black high heel boots that look like running shoes. I texted my band and told them I would be joining them soon, and they should ask the host if we could play a few songs. I went downstairs to tell my grandparents that I decided to go to the party.
"You have everything you need? Money, gas, your car keys?" my grandmother questioned me.
"Yes, Grandma." I gave her a kiss on the cheek, and I hugged my Grandfather. "Don't stay up too late you two," I warned them. "And don't worry about me." We said our goodbyes then I left. I hopped in my little Ford truck when I saw a shadow lurking the behind a tree. I turned the key in the ignition then slowly made my way down the street keeping an eye on my grandparents' house.
It took me twenty minutes to get to the party because I took a wrong turn thanks to my friend's tiny printing on the paper she gave me earlier. As I pulled into the driveway I saw a magnificent house. The house was two stories tall and made of marble. How rich re these people? Our headquarters isn't even this big. I could hear the beat of the music in my truck with the windows rolled up. I quietly got out of my truck bad walked up to the opened door. I walked past two girls kissing on my way up the stairs. I almost pulled them apart because of the boys cheering. I was almost to the top when I heard people yelling.
"...And how was killing her parents a good thing? Think of what she is going through right now! How would you feel if your positions were switched?" A man's voice drifted down to me with a wave of shock.
"I would be happy." A girls voice replied.
"That's it. I'm done. We are over." I could hear the footsteps of who I assumed to be the man walk away. I decided it was now safe to walk up the rest of the stairs. Instead of seeing a crying girl I seen a brown haired football player that goes to my school with his head on the cool marble wall.
"Did you hear that, Popstar?" The football player didn't turn to face me but somehow knew it was me.
"Y-yes. I heard something about her killing- someone's parents."
"They were your parents." I could feel his gaze on me as I slowly slid down the wall to the floor.
"W-w-why would s-s-she d-d-do that?" I could hear the my band chatting about the gig we just got. I wiped all emotion from my face and stood up.
"Hey, Clara!" They said in unison.
"Hey, Girls. So did we get the gig?" They shouted in unison... once again. I plugged my ears with my fingers. "I'll take that as a yes." Saraphine the blonde one hugged me.
"I'm so happy you decided to come to night." Rose squealed.
"Me too. I think it is time for me to get out again."
"Umm... Girls we go on in two minutes. What are we going to play?" Luna looked over my shoulder. "Who is that? Why does he keep looking at you?"
"I'm Derek Shane." I heard the football player's voice right behind me. "Clara and I just finished talking. You going to meet at the front door in an hour still?" What? We never even talked long enough to make any plans.
"Yeah sure. In an hour." Derek walked away.
"What this hell just happened, girl?" Rose asked.
"I think he just asked her out in front of us from the look on her face." I could feel my skin ripple and my body start to transform to that of wolf.
"Clara get that under control before a human sees it." I concentrated on getting my transformation to reverse. "Okay it stopped."
"Thanks. You're a life saver, Luna." I brushed my red hair out of my face. I looked at the clock. "One minute." We decided on the songs we were playing than went on stage. I stood on a balcony above the stage. I heard the drums start, than the base and keyboards start. When the beat was about to get faster I jumped down. I heard gasps come from the crowd. I stood up clearly fine even though I have no harness. There was one around a post on the balcony. I started to sing shutting everything that happened out.
"You were there beside me when you needed me. But when I need you you disappear. I'm done with your crap I'm going I'm gone. I done with you using me. I found someone better than you could ever be-" Suddenly all we can here was the beat of the drums, but that even came to a stop quickly. I looked at my band. They looked back at me expecting me to know what happened. I jumped when I heard the voice of a female over the speakers.
"I killed your parents Clara." The light moved from me to a girl with bright pink hair in the back of the crowd. Everyone moved away from her. I jumped off the stage; the crowd moved out of my way as I walked slowly over to her. She grinned. "I killed them for you." She said. I picked her up with one hand then threw her into the wall. She slipped to the floor. "Quick to fight, just like your parents were." My hands formed a fist and I flew to hit her in the face. I wrapped my hands around her neck and picked her up agian. I moved her ear close to my face.
"Next time I see your face I promise you won't live." I growled and dropped her on the ground then I punched the wall leaving a dent in the marble. I left the room leaving speechless people standing there. I walked to the front door and was stopped by a pair of strong arms.
"Derek, let me go." He turned me to face him.
"You are a leader. And leaders don't act like this." he said calmly.
"You don't know anything about me. Now let go of me." I knew I was close to changing. I could feel my skin ripple. He drug me to the back yard.
"Change." He ordered as he threw me to the ground. He turned around. I ripped off my dress and shoes just before my transformation took place. I yelped. My transformation hurt more than usual. I noticed Derek was taking off his shirt so I looked down at the ground knowing he as well was going to transform.
After ten to fifteen minutes we stood there was wolves. I heard my friends calling my name as I turned and ran into the park that happened to be nearby.
