I woke up next to Derek. His arm was around my waist much like yesterday morning. We didn't do anything besides makeout a little. First kiss first makeout session all with the same guy. I didn't tell Derek, and I don't plan to anytime soon.

"Morning." Derek kissed the back of my neck causing me to shiver.

"Morning." I turned around and kissed him. "How did you sleep?"

"Best sleep in a long time, you?" I smiled. "I'll take that as the best sleep ever." I laughed.

"Mabey. Mabey not. Who knows?" He chuckled. I jumped when there was a knock on my door.

"Clara, Derek! Breakfast! Get up!" She knocked again.

"We're up!" Derek called.

"There better have not been any funny business going on." I gaped.

"Grandma!" I heard her laugh.

"I'm just kidding." I knew she was happy. Derek was my first and last boyfriend. I never had a boyfriend before because I was loyal to my betrothed even though I didn't know who he was. I hoped out of bed.

"Hey, get back here I'm cold." Derek complained.

"You will have to catch me." Derek lunged for me I steeped back just out of his reach. He got off the bed and ran after me. I ran away from him. I put the desk in between me and him. He sat on the desk then turned to face me.

"You know putting yourself in a corner was a bad idea."

"Show me how bad it is." He grinned then kissed me. "Oh that's so bad. How did I deserve that?" I joked. There was another knock on the door.

"Kids, hurry up your food is getting cold." My grandfather's voice came from behind the door. Derek hopped off the desk and went to one of the dressers. He tossed something at me. I caught it before it hit me in the face. Another thing came fly at me I caught that to. I realized they were a t-shirt and a pair a shorts.

"You can get the rest." He pointed to the top drawer. I nodded. He walked to the second dresser across the room and grabbed some clothes out of that. "You get the bathroom." I nodded grab my underwear and went to the bathroom to change. It hit me after I changed. Derek and I share a room. I made a face in the mirror to shake off my weird mood. I brushed my hair and teeth then slowly opened the door a little bit.

"You decent?" I called.

"Yep." I walked out slowly. I seen him sitting on a shelf thing by the big window. You know the thing you could lay on in front of a window that sticks out? I smiled he looked calm.

"Ready?" He nodded. When we were in the hall he held my hand. We walked like that into the kitchen. My grandma looked at us then did a double take. She made a funny face at me. I made on back. She smiled. We dished out our plates and sat down.

"How did you guys sleep?" My grandfather asked me when I had food in my mouth. Once again I choked on it. He grinned.

"Why do you keep doing that?" I joke asked.

"It's funny to see the look on your guys' faces." I laughed.

"Okay that makes since." Mrs. Shane said. "Your faces were quiet funny." Mr. Simon Shane shifted awkwardly.

"Derek, Clara, there was a news story about the party you went to. People did catch that little..."Mr.Shane paused trying to find a way to explain.

"It's about the girl isn't it?" Mr Shane nodded.

"They also showed you punching marble as well, Clara." I winced. "The person zoomed into the dent you left. You must be more-"

"Careful, ya I know. You would have done the same thing. I know what I did couldn't lead to them finding out about werewolves. Gossip magazines think I go to the gym thus making them think it was all because of that. I know how to cover my tracks before they need to be." I wanted to get up and leave but I knew I had to stand strong this time. Derek's hand wrapped around mine. He gave me a reassuring smile.

"There was another thing. You guys have to decide when your getting married." I was drinking when he said that... so I choked on it. Why does that keep happening.

"Can't that wait just a little longer-"

"No, you have till tonight to figure it out or its tomorrow." It was Derek's turn to choke on his food.

"What?" Derek asked.

"I will make it simple. If you do not decide on when you are getting married its tomorrow." Derek got up and left. I glared at his father then ran after him. He went outside.

"Derek! Derek!" He slumped to the floor of the deck.

"I'm not even nineteen yet and I'm getting married."

"At lest your not the one who is sixteen." He looked over at me. He smiled.

"Is just... I thought I would be older when..." He just stopped mid sentence. Then I heard it. A howl. Then another and another. It was a battle cry. My heart stopped. I ran inside. "Grandma! Grandfather!" I heard a thud. I rounded the corner into the living room and seen Mrs.Shane on the floor. Derek came down the hall. I stepped out listening. The howls started again. I tensed. I heard a shuffle behind the couch. I slowly crept around Mrs. Shane and peered over the edge off he couch. The teenage girl sat there. I picked her up and practically threw her over the couch.

"Is she dead?" I growled. I seen genuine fear in her eyes.

"N-no."

"Call the cops Derek." Derek came stood there. I grabbed her by the scruff of her neck. I snapped in front of Derek's face. He snapped out of it.

"Call the cops." I said softly. He nodded and went out to the hall to call the cops. "Why harm his family? They did nothing to you."

"You are dating him."

"We are betrothed. I have no say in it. Grandma! Papa!"

"Now, they might be dead." I filled with rage. I was going to throw her against the wall when my grandma walked in.

"You underestimate the power of our family." My grandmother growled. "We are not a family you want to mess with. If it's in a political squabble we will chew you up and spit you out. If it's a physical fight we will chew you up and spit you out. Don't take kind to this threat we mean it. If you mess with us again you will meet the rest of the family." Derek walked in.

"They are on their way. They told us to keep an eye on her."

"Oh I'll do more than that if she tries anything." I threatened.
