Chapter 15

Derek's mom had finished her ritual to rid the girls and I of evil. I could see the shadows cast out of us and into a jar that she brought. The jar had strange symbols on it. One looked kind of like a person's face. More I looked at it the more it look like a face. A person in agony is on the side of the jar. I shivered.

"Derek, you can come back in." Mrs Shane called out to her son. The door creaked open. Derek slowly cautiously walked in and stood behind my chair. I felt dizzy so I placed a hand on my forehead.

"Are you okay?" Derek asked me clearly concerned. I nodded not trusting myself to speak a lie to him.

"Or rather I will be." I thought over my day. "I still haven't eaten." I moved to get up.

"No, you stay there I will get you some food." Derek said.

"You don't-"

"I don't have to I want to." He kissed my forehead and left. I looked at his mom.

"Is there something that he knows that I don't?"

"Not that I know of, but then again he does have a gift for looking into the future." I shook my head and smiled to myself. What did he know? Is it important for him to be treating me like this? It's not like I'm pregnant we haven't done it yet.

Derek came back minutes later with a platter of food. Mrs. Shane had just finished packing her stuff in the box when he opened the door. He held the door open for his mother as she walked out. He place the platter on my desk.

"I found those girls, the ones from the party. I called them over. I thought it would be best to see if we could get help from them."

"That was a good idea. I sure hope they can help."

"Give them a couple hours, oh and Mr, Saunders' daughter will be here today."

"Kay thanks, I had totally forgot about that." There was a tentative knock on the door. "Come in." Mrs. Shane pushed open the door and walked in.

"We are able to get Luna out of the mental facility tonight. I have put my husband in the cage downstairs." We have a cage for when we capture rebels and other pack trespassers. Such as a southern pack werewolf who came here two years ago to kill my parents.

"Okay thank you." She nodded and left the room.

When I finished eating I slipped from my study to my room where there was peace far from everything I have to deal with. It was the one place I didn't allow to be tainted with my work. I fell on my bed and just laid there until I heard the door open and close. I was now sitting on the edge kicking my feet like a little kid.

"You've changed." Derek sat beside me.

"I know."

"Change is good."

"Derek?" I stopped kicking my feet.

"Yes?" I looked at him with doe eyes.

"Kiss me?" He leaned forward and kissed me. The kiss was calm at first but gradually it became more and more desperate. Derek slowly moved me so was laying on the bed with him on top of me. My hands moved to the back of his head pulling him closer to deepen the kiss. He pulled back.

"It's time we start acting like a married couple isn't it." He said.

"Yes it is. Now get back here and kiss me." He leaned forword and kissed me. I realized I loved him. I'm not going to let him go. I deepened the kiss.

I woke in a mess of tangled limbs. I remember what happened last night. I smiled and crawled out of Derek's grasp. I grabbed a night gown and threw it on. I looked over at Derek. He was sleeping so peacefully. It was nice he looked like a normal teenager. I turn on the water for the shower and let it get warm before I hop in. I let the hot water run down my back. When I was almost done showering there was a knock on the door.

"May I come in?" My heart fluttered at the sound of Derek's voice.

"Yea." The door clicked open closed.

"Need a towel?" He sounded as if he had something on his mind.

"Yep." He opened the curtain and wrapped the towel around me then picked me up and took me into the bedroom. He sat me down on the bed. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Your pregnant." My heart stopped.

"H-how do you know?" He ran a hand threw his messy hair.

"I've seen it." I frowned then remembered his mother's comment. "I should have known this would happen."

"Derek, relax. Tell me what was the vision about?"

"I was sleeping then when you left to take your shower I had a vision. You took the the test and it said you were pregnant."

"We'll just have to find out won't we. I could run into town and grab a test just to make sure." He nodded. I quickly got dressed. I ran down the stairs and to where my shoes were. As I put them on I seen Derek's mom. "Mrs. Shane!" I called.

"Oh. Yes, Clara?"

"Has Derek ever been wrong when he had a vision?"

"Never." I swore.

"What's wrong?"

"Its nothing. I've just got to check something." I walked to the door. Once it was closed I ran to my truck. I started it with some difficulty then pulled out of the driveway so fast it would give a human wip lash. It took me a few minutes to get to town. When I did I went to the drug mart and bought a pregnancy test, and some other stuff. I drove home almost as fast as I did before. I rushed to my bathroom and took the test. I waited for the amount of time it said. And it came out positive.

I was pregnant.
