The party ended around one in the morning. People kept getting into fights because they were drunk, and I had to stop them because Derek was to busy with his friends which I realized I never met.

"Clara." Derek called me from across the room. I walked over to him and his friends.

"Yes?" He held my waist.

"These are my friends. The brown haired one is Will Revara."

"Hey." Will waved.

"I'm Jonah Ronanfeild. And this little twerp beside me is Damon." Jonah and Damon looked like brother's with their blond hair and blue eyes. Damon was almost as tall as Jonah, but he still had a good half foot left to go. Damon was adopted by Jonah's family two years ago, because his parents died in a car crash....at lest that's what the public records say. Not very many people actually remember what happened that day. Me and Derek both remember what happened. We looked at each other debating if we should tell him the truth.

'We shouldn't. He would be crushed.'

'Agreed.'

"What the fuck you two?" Jonah said. "Did you just have a conversation?"

"Yes." We said in illusion.

"You better not be shitting me."

"Now why would I be doing that?" Derek joked.

"Tell me the truth were you really having a conversation?"

"Yes, we were." Derek said.

"We don't even know why we are able to, but we are able to use our mind's to talk to anyone in the pack." I spoke.

"I thought only witches and demons could do that." I looked at Derek. Then back at Jonah.

'Does he...?' I asked Derek.

'None of them do.'

'Okay.'

"Your doing it again." Will said.

"Sorry." We said in illusion. I laughed.

"We have got to stop doing that." I said.

"Ya, people are going to think we are nuts."

"I already think you guys are nuts." Luna's voice was behind me.

"Why thank you." I said.

"No problem." Luna joked.

"Are you going home soon?" Luna's smile fell.

"My parents are at the hospital. My grandmother isn't doing so well." I suddenly had this urge to go to Luna's grandmother's side. I don't know why but I did.

"Which hospital?" I asked. All super naturals have special hospitals to treat them so humans don't find out we exist. We treat humans there too after all it is law that hospitals serve anyone who walks through their doors.

"Southern Community." She said her voice clipped.

"Derek come on. We will be back. Umm ask my grandmother to help you find a room." I took Derek's hand and drug him to the entry way. The words I need to speak can't be heard by anyone, but my alpha mate.

'I think Luna's grandmother is dieing. As her alphas we have to be there to send her off if she passes.'

'Ya, we should.' We put on our shoes and went out to my truck. It was a short drive, but I felt as if we couldn't get there soon enough. We walked into the hospital and was welcomed by a female werepanther.

"Hello, we are looking for Alice Lafoy. Which room is she in?"

"Ahh pack alphas. I'll see what I can do. We have a family only policy." She quickly explained to us then dialed a number and explained that we were here to see Alice. "You can see her. Follow me." We followed her to the room at the end of the hallway behind her desk. I could hear the sobs of Luna's mother from outside the door. Derek grabbed my hand and looked at me.

'Right now we are their alphas giving their respects to the dieing.'

'Got it.' We walked into the room. Luna's parents looked up at us. The room seemed to get sadder the more you looked at it. I turned to Alice. She looked sickly and thin. She was already super tiny before she got sick now she looked as though her life was being sucked out of her.

'Alice-' I started.

'Ahh, telekanises. What a nice change.'

'I'm sure it is.'

'I have to tell you something important. There is a book in the chest in the attic of my house that could help you win the battle. You must get to it.' She paused for awhile forming thoughts was getting hard for her. 'I am dieing, Alpha Clara.' I felt a tear fall down my cheek.

"You have served my parents and grandparents well, Alice Lafoy. It is time for you mind body and soul to take your forever rest. Rest in peace Alice and may the other world take mercy on your soul." I bowed my head as I finished my prayer.

"Thank you-for letting me serve you one last time-before I die. Good-bye everyone." A tear fell from her eye and drew a path down her cheek as she died. As soon as the monitor blared the werepanther we met in the foray had walked in.

"I'm sorry, but everyone must leave now." I walked out of the room and almost burst into tears I could feel the pain of Luna's family. I felt as though my heart was ripped from my chest and stomped on a billion times.

'Luna?' I barely touched her mind to deliver the message I was dreading to deliver to her.

'Yes?' Her voice was tentative barely there like a whisper in the back of my mind.

'She has passed. I'm so sorry for your loss.' I could hear her sobs and feel her pain. I could sense she was going to do something.

"Derek, we have to get home now!" I started towards the exit with Derek on my heels. 'Luna is going to do something bad. I just know it.'

'Okay.' I ran outside and to my truck. I tuned into Luna and seen her grab a knife.

'Luna, put the knife down! This is an order from your alpha! Put the knife down!' She dropped the knife from the shock of hearing her alphas voice commands her in her head. I touched my grandmother's mind. 'Get to Luna she is in the kitchen keep her in a safe place till me and Derek get back. No questions till we get there.'

'Got it, Clara. You will also explain this.' I left her mind came back to my own. The drive back to the house was significantly shorter because Derek was speeding. I slammed open the door. I followed the wave of pain coming from Luna so I could find her faster. I opened the door to her room and seen her crying on my grandmother's shoulder. Her sleeves were pushed up and I could see scars. They were all up her arm. My heart started to beat faster. My vision blurred for a second and I was thrown into a vision. I could feel my body collapse into Derek's arm.
