I look at Joseph and mouth "I'm sorry" as I sneak by him.
"I said hi."
"What are you doing here?" He snapped.
"If you get to show up to my work then I get to do the same."
"I was in the middle of something." He sighs.
"Oh, I can tell." Gesturing at his tussled hair, unevenly buttoned shirt. "Was she good?"
He looked at me, confused. Elias stood up and gestured at the chair, telling me to sit down. I took a seat and he walked over to the other side of his desk, facing me.
"She was good. She was quiet, did what she was told, and stood still."
"So, you fucked her over the desk if you said she stood still.
He looked at me, confused. Elias stood up and gestured at the chair, telling me to sit down. I took a seat and he walked over to the other side of his desk, facing me.
"What are you doing?" He asked, frustrated. He was pausing at every word.
"I want to know how you fucked her. She was beautiful." I was laughing
"Ok, are you upset that there was a woman who conveniently walking out as you come in unannounced? Because if you are, that's not fair, we had a night last night. We were both curious."
"I'm not upset. I don't want anything from you. We had sex, that's it. I came because I thought you leaving your card was a test and I wanted to come up with my own answer. Well, that, and Lorin told me that you were upset, and I wanted to make sure it wasn't because of me." I looked down at the floor, avoiding his gaze and furrowed brow.
"She came in, I told her to take her clothes off and leave on her heels. I told her to lay on my desk, breasts down. I told her to put her arms behind her and spread her ass. I spanked her. She said thank you. She listened, and she made me feel powerful. I am powerful. So, I fucked her exactly how I wanted and she did exactly what I said, because I. Am. Powerful." He paused and took a breath. "You, as curious as I am, make me feel less powerful. I couldn't even contain myself when you called me sir. Ever since the conference, you've been testing, no, questioning my authority and power without even knowing it. That is why I am so curious."
"I, I'm sorry?"
The few times I have met Elias, he has been short and vague and straightforward. This was the most he has said to me in a single conversation. I have so many more questions
"Can you have dinner tonight?" He asked.
"Elias, I, dinner means date and I don't date."
"It's not a date. I don't date. It's, uh, an interview. For each other. We both have questions, let's get them answered and figure out what the hell needs to happen next, because I don't have a clue. I don't have a fucking clue."
"Fine."
"I'm sorry for how I was acting. You caught me off guard, which pissed me off even more. I was pissed at myself for letting last night happen like it did. So, I am, sorry for that and I am sorry that a woman walked out in front of you. She was just a release. Let me walk you out."
I wasn't angry at any of this, I was confused where all of this was coming from, but we were going to figure it out. I don't care that he had blondie in there. In fact, I wanted to know more about it. Elias walked closer to me, his body more relaxed now. He lifted me up from my seat from under my armpits. He slid his hands down my sides, to my waist, to my hips, then over my ass.
"You have an incredible ass, Ms. Engel." He whispered into my ear then lifted his hands from me. Only for him to slam them back down. It sent pins and needles into my skin, through the spandex slacks. I involuntarily jumped forward, right into him.
We walked out of the open space, into the large entry, and to the front doors. Eyes were on him from every direction. He is a sight to see, but does he ever come down from his little tower up there?
"I'll pick you up at 8, tonight. Pack a bag."
I nodded and backed away slowly before turning around and half walking, half skipping down the stairs back towards my car. I am having dinner and I am packing bag. Holy hell.
