Morgan went out of town to visit her parents. She wanted me to go with her. She understood when I declined her offer.
I need to be in the area to tend to my patients. I can't lose more as I have in the past. I can't claim to want to help and then just allow my attempts to be brushed aside.
I don't want to meet any more parents. Mine was enough to put me off of families forever.
She flinched when I told her I would never want children. She nodded and said she thought so.
That's not acceptance, but I'll take it. She's not being forced to stay with me. I won't torture her with my faults. As long as they are out there for her, that is more than enough.
I still can't believe she hasn't yet been frightened off by my ramblings. When I discuss my schooling she is normally perched upon her hands watching me. Sometimes, days later she will bring up a matter I was discussing. It's wonderful to see someone who is as focused on medical practices as I am.
