Morgan must find my place relaxing, she fell asleep again. We were on the couch talking about what she saw in my grandfathers journal.

"What purpose could electricity have in neurology?" She gave me a stare that accused me of hundreds of murders and she wasn't all wrong.

I leaned forward and sipped my coffee. "I'm sure it looks bad." She nodded and turned toward her cup and drank more. "The brain conducts its own electrical flows to power our bodies, everything from speech to blood flow, it is all programmed by electric messages in our brain." I sat back in the couch cushions and turned my body to face her with my leg curled up in front of me. "Is it so hard to believe that electricity might be the factor that hasn't been explored because it's dangerous, but what if it's really the answer?"

"What was that book that I found?" She seemed relaxed by my answers so far and wasn't interrogating me anymore.

"It was my grandfathers journal." I went into more detail about my life before my grandmother tied the loose ends.

She seemed shocked but when I looked away for a second and turned back she was snoring and her eyes were closed. I watched and waited as she slumbered, as creepy as it made me feel, I missed her so much. It was like every blink stole a part of the limited time I had with her. I couldn't possibly sleep and risk the chance of her leaving before I woke up.

Morgan slept for a few hours and seemed better able to keep a flow in the conversation. "Why didn't you tell me these things before?" She starred into my eyes as she asked.

Because I didn't want to lose you. "I didn't think you would forgive me for lying in the beginning." I wasn't lying this time, omitting wasn't an option, there were somethings she wasn't ready to know.
