I turned around expecting to see Niall, but instead, standing behind me was Ryan. "Its a little late dont you think?" I tried to smile. "Yeah I guess" I sniffled. I was supposed to be staying at julias house tonight because my mom would never let me stay out past 11. It was already 1:23. "Hey, are you okay?" He studied me and saw that I was crying. "Yeah im okay" I sat down on the bench beside me. "So what happened back there?" "I-I dont know" I really didnt. He looked confused. "Who was that boy you were running after?" "My boyfriend, well im not so sure anymore." I looked down at my ring and started crying again. "Hey hey hey, is there anything I can do?" I put my face into my palms and took deep breaths. He grabbed me and pulled me closer. I rested my head in his chest and tried to stop crying.
About ten minutes later I sat up and wiped my eyes. "Im sorry for keeping you here and wrecking your night." "Hey, dont apologize. You didnt wreak my night at all!" "Really?" I looked up at him. "Really, you wanna go home?" I nodded. He helped me up and we started walking. "So, how old are you?" I laughed, then he said "Hey, im just trying to make conversation". "I am sixteen, what about you?" "Im seventeen. Just turned seventeen three days ago." I smiled, "Oh, well happy belated birthday than!" He laughed.
Ten minutes later, we were at my house. "Thanks for walking me home, but I just remembered, I cant go home." "Uhm why?" "I have to stay at my friends house. Let me call her." I checked my phone ten missed calls and twelve messages. I called Julia.
J: Hello? Sydney where are you!?!?!
S: Hey, sorry, can I still stay over?
J: Of corse, you want me to meet you somewhere?
S: No its okay, im walking over now.
J: Okay, hurry and please be careful.
S: okay, bye
*I hung up*
"You wanna go home? I gotta walk to my friends house" "um, well if you dont mind, I could walk to your friends. To make sure your okay?" "Okay."
While we were walking, we kept talking. I learned that, his favourite color is blue, he is 15, he has a younger sister, his little sister loves 1D, he has a german shepard puppy, and we are going to be in the same grade at the same school!
I finally came to Julias house and we stopped at the door. "Thanks for being there for me earlier and walking me home and then walking me here" I giggled. "No problem, I hope we have some classes together." "Me too! when we get our schedules tomorrow, I will call you and tell you what I have." "Okay, have a great night Sydney." "You too, Ryan, goodnight" I gave him a hug and then went inside. I was grateful that I finally had a friend that I didnt have to worry about being wrecked or with drama with 1D. Finally, I had a new friend!
I walked into Jules house and went into the living room. "Hey, guys why are you still up?" I asked Julias mom and dad. "We just finished watching a movie. Why are you coming here so late? I thought you were already upstairs!" "Um, no, im just going to get a drink and go upstairs to bed. Goodnight guys" "Goodnight." they said. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass and filled it with water.
I walked upstairs and as soon as I opened the door, Julia hopped off the bed and ran into me. She grabbed my shoulders and shook me "Where were you? Who was that guy? Wheres Jenna? Did you find Niall?" "Slow down jules! First, I went looking for niall and no I couldnt find him. Second, that guy was my friend, Ryan. we are just friends and he walked me home and than here. Third, crap!" I took out my phone and texted Jenna.
