Chapter 1 - A bit of an intro?

You are walking home from a nearby local library. The sun is setting down. It has been your daily routine for the past few weeks to go there after class to work on your assignments, research project, and stuff. Yes, you are a final year student in a local university, so that explains your busy schedule almost every day – sometimes even on the weekend. All the efforts to cope with the stress didn't help at all when your boyfriend of almost 5 years broke up with you a couple weeks ago. You yourself aren't sure of the real reason he asks you both to go separate ways. It's probably because you are too focus on your studies that you always said no whenever he asked you out for a date. But hey, come on, who could blame you. You are struggling to strive for the sake of your own future. Unlike Gerard, he already has a job position as a cartoonist in some company in other city which is not that far from yours. You sigh, hitting the next button on your playlist. 'This is Gospel' by Panic! At the Disco is playing as you walk along the sidewalk. Thinking back to the days when you guys were still together is suck. But you can't help yourself to think that maybe, it's Gerard that is problematic. Since he's been away, he has been making real weird friends, especially that guy named Frank that he always talked about. From the way he was telling you, Frank seems like a bad influence to Gerard. They always goofing around, doing improper things. Frank would also drag Gerard along to the pub and the end were always not good. There was this time when you went to his house and was very surprised to see him in a badly beaten condition. (I'm sorry Frank for making you sound kinda suck..huhuu..but I'm sure everyone knows that the real Frank we all love is super amazing =D)

As your mind are wandering around, your phone buzzes, receiving a call from one of your besties – Ray. So here's your life history. You, Ray, and Gerard are childhood friends, living in the same city. Not to forget, Gerard's little brother, Mikey too. But everyone has their own place to be as they grow older.Ray however manage to get a job in that city; lucky him. As for you and Gerard,both of you have moved to different cities, turned out that they are neighboring cities. Ray and Gerard are of the same age. You are slightly younger than Mikey, and thus making you as the youngest in the group. This explain why you are now still struggling as a student. After receiving the news of your break up, being a good friend he is, Ray decided to come and stay with you for a bit, to make you feel better. You are thankful for that because you are very sure that your condition would probably become worse without him around to support you. So you hit the pick up button. "Hey there Princess Fro Fro." You always find his nickname super cute. "Yep it's me the gorgeous. Hahahahaa. Hey I'm just calling to make sure you bought me that cheesecake I've been craving for. You know that I'm not here forever right. And that product of heaven is nowhere but in this city only. So pleeeeaassseee.....please, please, please say that you did buy one for me. " You are sure he's making a pouty face over there. You chuckle before answering, "Gosh there cheesecake geek. Stop making it sounds like it's the end of your world without it. Hahahaa. Yeah, it's here with me. I'll be home in a few minutes." "Aawww.....this is why I love youuuuu." Then he blows a kiss through the phone. You let out a loud laugh. "Alright, alright. I'm hanging up now. Bye!" And with that, you guys ended the call. If you are not mistaken, was he trying to flirt with you? But he definitely knows how to make you forget about all the negativity that the world has to give.
