"Yup if you are willing to head out on an adventure you have to learn how to battle first." He explained. "A sword is a common weapon for battles, but you must learn how to make one first before you get one." He said. "Aw! Why can't I have one instead of making one? You have so much!" I wondered. "Well a long time ago when I was a youngling, my father was a powerful warrior, he fought in great battles and tough wars and he would always be home to train me. One day when I was practicing, he gave me my first task to do as a little warrior. The only probably, he said I would have to my own sword by building it using only sticks and vines. It wasn't an easy task since my limbs aren't as unique as a humans, but I managed to do it and practice with it." He told. "Alright I can do this, but can I use any of your tools while doing this?" I asked. "You may, I have some sharp tools for carpentry, if you want you can sharpen your wood." He said. "Ok thanks I will be back, I don't know how long, but I will be back." I said. I went into the rainforest looking for long sticks of wood and stretchable vines. I ripped of somes vines and leafes and grabed some sticks of wood that were actually small. I threw some sticks done and started to look for bigger sticks. I found the perfect one, not to big not to small, and it only took about 15 minutes or so. Carrying all of the sticks and vines, I came back watching Leru meditating. "Um hello? I brought the sticks and vines, I'll just borrow the saws and stuff." I said. Leru was just sitting in the center of the area holding his sword straight in front of his face as his eyes were closed. It looked like he was meditating, or mabey he was day dreaming, my guess is that he was just pretending to look like this just to ignore me as I build my first wooden sword. I do not even know if making a wooden sword like this is even possible. Anyways, I placed all the items on the wooden table and started marking which piece is which. I took the biggest piece of wood and labeled that as the body, in my head of course. I started to saw off unwanted layers of the bark and make it more of a rectangular shape. Let me tell you though, with very little tools for carpentry while having only different types of saws and carvers, it was extremely boring and frustrating especially tieing the vines to hold to arms to the body piece. It has made an experience though, carving wood and connecting them. Now all that is on the table is a pile of wood chips that I carved off, green vines, and a weirdly angled yet broken wooden sword. Since Leru wasn't reacting or even moving at all, I decided to fix up the wooden sword with more vines to hold the sticks in place. Although the vines gave off the strength of the sword the sharp edge of the sword looked deadly sharp. I grabbed the sword and looked at it blankly confused, but also very greatful of myself for creating such pain. "Hey Leru, now what? I built it, but it doesn't look in good shape. Hello? Are you even listening?" I asked. "It is time for your training." He said. 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
🎵"Madeline, look at me, follow all my steps and see, the way I, get my sword out to get ready for the battle of justice, I will fight, with all of my power as I swing my sword, left and right, up and down and all directions, but don't forget elements! The element of ice, its so frozen you cant slice, the element of wind, its to windy you cant move, the element of earth,  you could get trapped anywhere, the element of rock, trembling rocks you cannot block, the element of water,  down below where you'll get swallowed, the element of fire, it is all filled with hellfire, the element of light, peaceful as it is in sight, the element of darkness, do not go there, it's to dangerous! 🎵 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
"Leru? Don't you think this is a bit off the rail for sword fights? Like what if they don't use swords?" I said. "Oh, You're right!" He said.
🎵 song continues🎵
After the song we spent an hour on practicing sword and dodging technics. The sun was pretty close to setting, it's suprising they have a sun. "That's it now, you should be ready to fight out there." He said. "So that's all, dam it doesn't seem like i'm ready, what if I can't do this! What if my sword snaps! What if-" I yelled. "Madeline calm down, gifted swords will not break unless it is used against a different element. This sword seems breakable but in this element-" He said snaping the sword I made. "Weapons don't have a chance against their own element, breaking one will cause it to return to it's made form like so." He explained. "Oh, so as long as I use the sword with it's power I could defeat my enemys?" I asked. "Correct my friend, now I suppose you'd be on your way to the kingdom of Ice? The sun is setting so heading there faster will be wonderful and if you don't know what to do go ask Iclo in the kingdom." He said. "Alright I got this, I'll gather as much knowledge as possible, thank you Leru it was fun spending time learning with you! Bye!" I echoed walking into the rain forest. "Run with the leaves, walk with the ground, I shall see you once more!" He finished. I started running fast as he vanished from my sight from all the surrounding trees. I was jumping from bumbs, running past the trees, dodging the vines. I was so cheerful and full of energy, but at one point I got tired and stopped to a sudden chill.
