[A date. Maybe... let's say... two days after the attempt?]
Alright. So... It's been a few days since I've attempted my suicide. I tried hanging myself. But... somehow, someway, Ink and Dream found me. I still feel guilty about the whole... 'soulless freak' thing. I swear I didn't mean to say that! I have no idea what came over me... well, actually... I do know... I wanted to hide the cuts but... yeah. But odd thing was... Ink didn't seem to have much recollection of that incident at all. And that kinda makes me feel even worse. At least I know that they actually do care. Anyway, this is getting awkward so Imma end it here. Laters.
(Time skip 'bout... a little less than a week.)
Error walked through his favourite au, Outertale, as he admired the scene. The stardust that glittered on the ground, the stars that gleamed ever so brightly overhead... what could be better? He closed his eyes and let himself enjoy this moment. After all, how many moments can he enjoy? The answer: not very many. That's why he loved Outertale so much. It's the only place he can truly just... relax. He never socialized with the monsters here though, because of his haphephobia and such. Yes, he still had it. Only, he lets Ink and, sometimes, Dream get away with any sort of physical contact with him.
He opened his eyes and looked around. There, right in front of him, was the tree he had demolished so many months ago. Turns out his aimless wondering brought him back here.
He yanked on his strings and the tree came down no problem. "I... I just can't take it anymore! That fucking human! They..." he stopped as he struggled to hold back tears. He drew out his Gaster Blasters and continued mauling the poor tree. "They destroyed everything!" He yelled angrily, making his attacks stronger and stronger until they've reached their max.
The memories flooded over him like a wave, threatening to drown him. The more he dwelled on his worthlessness, the deeper he sunk. The more he struggled to get to the surface, another ball and chain was added, dragging him down even further.
But there he was. The only one brave enough to swim down that far to save him. "Ink..." he choked helplessly.
"I know we're enemies and all, but I still care about you!"
"Why are you so... stupid? Why would you care...?" he asked aloud to no one in particular, remembering all of those times Ink had helped him, done him favors... taken him places. Why was he so nice to him? It seemed like Error would never understand. But Error didn't really care. All he knew was that he was safe. That he could trust Ink. That he could just go to him whenever. Ink was so... generous to him. To everyone, really.
He smiled, suddenly feeling the urge to have Ink with him. He made a portal which lead him inside the living room. "Ink?" he called. "Yes, Error?"
"Where are you?"
"In my room. Why?"
"You don't mind if I come up do you?"
"No, not at all. I said you were welcome to come in whenever you want."
"Yeah. Just... didn't wanna bother you too much." Error replied just before entering. "So, what did you wanna talk about?" Ink asked, twirling circles around and around in his swivel chair. Y'know, because he's totally a full-grown adult. "Oh, u-uhm... I dunno. I just... wanted to see you?" he said unsurely. "Aww, that's nice of you." Ink smirked. "Ha, ha. Funny." He said unamusedly, shooting Ink at death glare in the process. "Come." Ink moved from his swivel chair to his bed and patted the spot beside him. Error walked over and sat down beside Ink. "So..." Error started. Ink just turned around and hugged him. "Yeah. I know. You don't have to ask. I'm here for you." Ink said soothingly. "Thanks." Error sighed.
