"Steven, Steven!"
Pearl was franticly waving her arms to catch his attention, as he was upstairs binging Crying Breakfast Friends. Steven looked over finally. "Woah! Pearly what is it?"
"We have a question! And we're incredibly late to answer it!"
Steven laughed.
"No worries, Pearl! Just answer it."
Pearl frowned and brought the phone, previously laying on the counter, to her face.
"What exactly is a waffle?"
Steven smiled patiently.
"Well, remember our together breakfast? It's kinda like a pancake but with abs. You eat them in the mornings! Also crying breakfast friends has a waffle character. What is the question anyways?"
Pearl's eyes flick back to the tiny screen again. "Pearl do you like waffles? And also you should eat them. The last part isn't a question so I really don't have to do what it says, correct, Steven?"
"It says all that?!" Steven's eyes are a bit wide from Pearl's commentation on the question, thinking everything she said was apart of the one comment.
"No, No, Steven." Pearl laughs.
"Just he bit about waffles." Pearl says as her laughter dies away.
"It's no fun if you don't eat a waffle! But go ahead and answer it first."
Pearl nods, biting her lip. She writes out a very elongated response.
'Waffles. Do I, pearl, enjoy eating waffles? To put it simply, I do not enjoy eating anything, so to say I enjoy eating waffles would make no sense. Do I like waffles, however? Yes, I like waffles because they remind me of Steven. They're both unique.'
She puts the phone down. "Alright, I'm finished."
Steven claps. "Yay! First ask has been completed!" He grins widely.
Amethyst bursts in.
"DID I HEAR WAFFLES?" She sports a goofy grin on her face.
"Took you long enough." Pearl says somewhat sarcastically.
"Where are the waffles?" Amethyst ignores Pearl's comment.
Steven laughs. "There's no waffles, but we got a question!"
Amethyst laughs. "All right!" She shoves Pearl away and grabs the phone, reading the question and her response.
Pearl had not sent her response yet, so amethyst takes advantage of this, deleting everything she typed.
Pearl is gawking in the background, trying to grab the phone, only to have Amethyst evade.
"Amethyst! If you don't give it back to me this instant--"
"Done!" Amethyst let the phone fall into Pearl's outstretched hands.
The response was very different now.
'waffles are great I would eat them without being asked or being told to'
The lack of punctuation and capitalization disgusted Pearl.
"And you even sent it?!"
Amethyst nodded eagerly.
The three glare at each other before breaking out in giggles. "Well, it's only our first ask. "
Steven nods. "Well, I think we did a great job for our first one!"
Authors Note:. I'm making each ask a bit of a short story, as I find it's just more fun to get responses like that. :3 Question to any of you who might read this, should ocs have a part in this as well? Or should we keep this strictly cannon? I know some of my friends might like to aggravate my ocs. XD
