Ⓙungkook awoke abruptly with something heavy landing on top of him, startling him half to death.

"Wha - " He didn't finish up the sentence as he spotted his roommate halfway to his bed and the other half was on the floor. "Chanyeol? What the fuck are you doing?"

The tall male had a hard time finding his roommate's face and barely got to his feet again and that's when Jungkook realised he was intoxicated. "Baekhyun?" he whispered, trying to glance around him.

"Honestly, you're so pathetic," he murmured as he removed his covers and struggled to help the drunken male to his own bed. "Don't you own any responsibility at all?"

"Stop talking shit about me," the tipsy male grumbled, barely audible. "I can hear you."

"Good," Jungkook replied as he rolled his eyes, "I wish you'd get your shit together! Act like a fucking grow up and not like a little spoiled brat."

"Fuck you mate and your boring student life," Chanyeol muttered, almost in bed thanks to Jungkook. "I want to live, not bury myself in books."

"Get a fucking graduation and a job, and then you can live your poignant life," Jungkook spat as he finally managed to get the giant in bed and returned to his own.

"Thanks," he heard his roommate say and soon soft snores filled the room.

"What a tsundere guy," Jungkook muttered and soon he joined the snores as well with his own.

The next morning Jungkook's alarm ringed around the room and the elder male quickly woke up and turned it off, hoping he didn't wake up his roommate. Whenever Chanyeol had a hangover, he was an even bigger asshole than normal, which was hard to believe, but it was true.

But when Jungkook glanced to the side, he was still sound asleep with his mouth wide open and his dark brown hair was all over his pillow.

The elder student tiptoed towards the bathroom to shower and then he went straight to the library. His lectures weren't until later in the afternoon and it was still early, so he had time to finish off the assignment Hoseok helped with the yesterday.

"Hey, aren't you Jeon Jungkook?" asked a sudden voice behind him on his way out of the dorms.

He quickly turned around to spot a smaller pretty male with blond bleached hair. It made him wonder just how popular it was to dye their hairs nowadays. "Yes?" he asked carefully.

"Did your roommate arrive safely yesterday? I was with him at a bar and when I suggested helping him in, he just said he was fine and refused to get my help," he explained shortly, his worrying eyes reaching Jungkook.

"He's fine," he told the other student," he's sleeping like a rock now, though he quite startled me last night."

The student giggled. "Sorry, I should've just helped him and ignore what he said - "

"Honestly, it's fine. I'm used to it now. He'd do the same for me." Okay, that was a lie, but what else should he had said to the other student? He just didn't want to be rude or make him feel sorry for him when there was no point anyway.

"Thanks, Jungkook. I'm Byun Baekhyun by the way, a friend of his. I also know Kim Taehyung as well. Isn't he coming back to Korea soon?" he asked.

Jungkook's heart dropped again.

"Or so I've heard. Thanks again. I'll see you around," he said as soon as he spotted the misery look on Jungkook's face and quickly ran off after saying goodbye.

With Taehyung in his mind, Jungkook continued his way towards the library to finish off his project.

As the raven-haired male's concentration grew weaker and weaker, he stopped writing and reading and just stared into the air. He even had stared at another student without realising it, earning a frown and a glare back before they left.

Blushing slightly, Jungkook began to browse on his phone, which made his eyes widen at what was flashing on the screen. A new message from Taehyung.

At the speed of lightning, Jungkook quickly opened the message to see what he had written to him after seven months.

'I'm sorry, a lot has happened recently. I'll text you soon again. Taehyungie x'.

Jungkook frowned after reading the message over and over. Why did he write that? It was obvious to the younger one he was busy. He didn't care whether he was busy or not.

Why didn't he tell him was coming back home? Why didn't he tell him they could finally meet again after so long.

As Jungkook's depressing mind was wandering around in his head, he got an idea. He opened his phone again and sent a message to Hoseok.

'Hey, Hoseok! I don't mean to bother you as I know you're busy with your flatmate and all, but have you heard from Taehyung lately?'

He put the phone down as he stared at it on the table, eagerly waiting for a reply that arrived just a minute later.

'Hey Jungkook. Yeah, I heard he was returning to Korea. Why?'

Jungkook's faint smile disappeared the second he read the sentences. Taehyung had told Hoseok, but not him?

'Actually, I heard it from Jimin. Taehyung hasn't told me he's returning. Do you know why? Has he said anything about me? Maybe he's mad at me?'

His heart started to pound faster and faster. Had he done something? He couldn't recall doing anything or saying anything Taehyung could get mad over, but what if he did?

The male quickly shoved his books in his backpack and hurried over towards Jimin's dorm.

"Jimin!" Jungkook yelled as he kept pounding on the door. But when the door opened, he spotted a half-naked grumpy Min Yoongi glaring at him.

"Really mate?" he grumbled.

"So - sorry, hyung" he stuttered, but Jimin had jumped to his feet with his bedsheet around him and approached Jungkook.

"It's okay. Yoongi, give us a second," he told his boyfriend, who locked himself in Jimin's bathroom to leave some privacy. "What's up Jungkook?" he asked worriedly.

"Taehyung texted me," he said breathlessly after running from the library to the dorms without a break.

"That's good," Jimin comforted, "did he tell you about his return?"

Jungkook shook his head. "No," he said, "he just said he was busy and that he was sorry."

Jimin's frown had deepened. He guided them to sit down on the bed on the opposite side of the room and not the place he and Yoongi had been messing around at. "Have you and Taehyung fought recently? Or the last time you spoke?" he asked.

Jungkook shook his head again. "No, not that I can remember. I figured that as a possibility as well, but Taehyung has always been mature enough to tell me when he thinks I'm an idiot or insensitive. He'd tell me, right?"

Jimin thought for a moment. "I think so too. But there seems to be a reason why he's holding back. Do you want to tag along when I'm picking him up?" he suggested.

"He may not want me to be the first person he sees in Korea. I should just wait here and see him when he wants to."

Jungkook couldn't help but let a teardrop fall.

"Hey, it's okay," Jimin comforted as he rubbed his back affectionately. "Maybe he wants it to be a surprise for you? We all know Taehyung is unpredictable. Just don't get too depressed when it'll turn out to be totally different. Promise me, yeah?"

Jungkook nodded as he let the elder hug him and then he apologised again for interrupting and exited the room and finally headed for the lectures that were soon starting.
