ONE WEEK IN INSOMNIA PASSED BY QUITE QUICKLY. Vesper spent her days in Royal Restaurant & Catering and at home; reading the book she was sent. The book "Lucis" contained long and rich past since the ancient times and was filled with pictures; similar to those pictures Cosmology contained. But while Cosmology was based on the history of Eos, Lucis was based on Insomnia and lands beyond the wall.
Vesper found herself in inability to stop herself from reading and touching the fresh and smooth covers of the book. It felt like a crime to have such a neat book in her hands. One person that has been appearing inside her thoughts from time to time was the Prince himself. Not because he is the Prince of Lucis, but because he is the first guy that send her such a useful gift.
A gift she wished to return, mostly because she wanted an answer why did he even sent her the book. It was a kind gesture, but still she wanted to know the reason. She was a bit afraid that someone might find out and figure out that Vesper is the girl Noctis drove in his car several days ago. And she didn't want that. Nobody wanted that.
"With that much reading you'll turn into Ramuh." Silas commented, donning his Kingsglaive black frock coat.
"It has interesting content." Vesper flipped another page of the book. "We're you headed?" She wondered as she set her eyes onto her brother.
"Gonna go grab a few drinks with the Glaives. Wanna come?"
First, she narrowed her eyebrows at him in surprise to hear him inviting her to tag along, and then she shook her head, remembering that she didn't know anyone else besides him, Libertus and Nyx; and Luche Lazarus, another Galahdian, for who she didn't know that he joined Kingsglaive as well.
"Nah."
"Come on." Silas insisted. "All you're doing these days is work and read. Come with me, meet new people."
Her bother tried to convince her, yet she felt somehow shy about it. But she did wish to do something different, something out of her "work-read" routine. A few times she even wished to visit Citadel and ask for Prompto, but then she remembered how weird it would be to go there. Insomnia was still foreign to her and she wished to take things slow.
"Come on." Silas insisted, his own eyes still trying to convince her to say yes.
Giving in, Vesper answered. "Okay." And she did it with a sigh.
"Yes!" Silas cheered. "Come on, get ready, I'll wait."
Pushed herself of the couch and placing a paper in the book on a page she has arrived to, Vesper went into her bedroom to put something decent on, or at least good enough for a little night out. She chose dark skinny jeans, black sweater and olive green long jacket. Putting on black boots, she tucked the jeans inside and then put on her black beanie.
Taking only five minutes to get ready, Silas and she soon left their apartment and went into the lively Slums towards a small restaurant where a few Kingsglaive members usually hang out. Vesper felt a bit nervous to meet other members of Kingsglaive and she was only hoping Libertus and Nyx will be there. She could easily talk with Libertus and Nyx.
However, when it came to Nyx she couldn't help but to remember the picture inside her head of him and the Princess kissing. It was quite a shock for her since she dropped on their intimate moment.
At this time of the evening, just as usual, the music was playing through the entire street with different vendors on each side of the street were selling various interesting things. It was different comparing to how it is during the day. Everything seemed alive and energetic with so many people walking around and the music that was playing added to the lively urban style.
