"Christine where are you?!"
My mother screamed from the kitchen.
"I was reading a book in the study mother."
"You where supposed to clean these dishes an hour ago!"
"I'm sorry mother it slipped my mind."
"I'm sorry is not good enough anymore!"
She said slapping me causing me to fall the floor in pain.
"You are just another disappointment! That's all you are and will be! You will never marry and you will be a disappointment to your husband if you get married!"
I stood up with tears poring out of my eyes. I have had enough of her abuse to me. Ever since my father passed away she has hated me. She has never once showed me kindness.
"Fine if I'm such a disappointment then I will leave you and you can life in this horrible house that you have destroyed!"
In that moment I didn't realize my mother grabbed the candle and threw the hot wax on the right side of my face. I screamed in pain as the hot wax melted my flesh. I tried to get it off but it was no use it would burn my hands. I ran from my horrible mother and grabbed my cloak then ran out the doors of the house I use to love and now despise. As the cold air made the wax hardened it was easer to get off my face. I still knew that my face would be permanently scarred. I pulled the hood of my cloak over my head to try and hide my face as I reached the main road into Paris.
