The boys were gone and the girls had work. Lin went straight to work. While Rosie starts at 2pm so she went to see her sister. Nelly starts at 1pm so she had to go home and change her clothes. Now they all knew the plan. Kaylee had given Nelly two resignation letters. Signed and dated for that day. Lin turned in the one for McDonald's at the start of her shift. She explained to Dan why she was quitting this way and he understood. Now sadly Nelly had to give the one for Taco Bell to the GM a.k.a. Justin. So a little more complicated.
Nelly showed to work and Justin was already there. He was in a good mood. I wonder why? His girlfriend is hiding from him and he's happy. He noticed me as I clocked in.
"Nelly!" He smiled touching my back. I cringed him touching me. He noticed my uncomfortableness and moved his hand.
"Yes, Justin?" I asked unamused.
"When are you getting a boyfriend?" He made fun of me. Ha! Little does he know my man is probably one of the sexist men to ever walk the Earth.
"When will you stop wearing so much Axe?" I looked at him annoyed. He laughed, what was up with him?
"Anyway it's your floor. Where do you want them?" Justin smiled getting to the point.
"Okay." I decided telling everyone where to go.
"Yes, ma'am." Justin mocked me. This dick won't know what hit him.
The hour went by fast. Then Rosie clocked on. I put her on dishes to keep her away from Justin. And everything was going well, until she finished.
3rd Person POV
Nelly was up front when she ran out sugar for the coffee. She decided to go back and get some when she saw Rosie in the office with Justin. They seemed to be just talking so she just walked away.
**In the Office**
"What now Justin?" Rosie asked frustrated. Justin however looked calm, for now.
"Where is she?" He asked her smiling.
"Where's who?" Rosie asked, as far she knew everyone showed up for work. Justin wasn't having this playing shit.
"You know who." He gritted his teeth, getting upset. Well more upset.
"Voldemort?" Rosie raised her eyebrow confused.
"Don't play with me Rose!" He screamed in her face. And even though Rose was scared she stayed brave. She looked at Justin, staring into his eyes.
"Why would I play any games with you? You always cheat, then pout when you lose." She mocked the much older man.
"This is not a game Rose!" He shook her like a ragdoll. Rosie tried to push him away but he held her shoulders tight in his grip.
"Get away from me." She kicked him in the shin. He let go momentarily to smack her.
He hit her so hard Rose fell to the floor from the impact. She hit her head on the safe causing her eyes to go slightly blurry.
*****Nelly 3rd person POV ** While Rosie was in office.*****
Nelly walked back getting the sugar. Except she couldn't find where they moved it to.
"Linz! Where did Marcel move the sugar?" Nelly asked the boy who promptly came back and showed her.
"Thanks kiddo." Nelly smiled before going back up. That's when she saw it. Justin's hand across Rosie's face. That's when she lost it.
She dropped the sugar on the floor busting it open. She ran flinging the door open. Justin immediately backed off.
Nelly's POV
I felt all my rage over flowing. I couldn't breathe it was suffocating. I could kill him. I pulled my sweet little girl into my arms. How dare he touch her? Rosie was holding it together as expected but I knew how she felt.
"It's not what it looks like Nelly." Justin dared speak to me. I shot him a glare. I was mentally feeding his body peices to the Zoo animals.
"Kim take Rosie to my car." I told one of my crew members. She did as she was told.
"What? No I never said she cou..." Justin started to protest. But I shut him up.
"This is MY floor to run Justin Dickweed! You dared put your hands on my little girl?" I shut the door behind me as I walked further into the office.
"Your little girl? If I'm not mistaken her mother is back in Montana." He brought up that stupid old bag.
"Listen here you little bitch." I got up in his face ready to fight him.
"Keep your filthy little hands off of Rosie or Kay or anyone I love. Or so help me God.." I threaten him making him laugh. He then decided to get in my face. He tried cornering me. Then he went in to punch me. I grabbed his hand using his own power to flip him on his back.
"We quit!" I threw three different resignations in his face before leaving. I grabbed my bag and Rosie's and went to my car.
Rosie was sitting in the back seat not saying anything. She had no emotion on her face. She looked blank like she was lost in thought.
"Rosie, are you okay?" I asked her trying to get her attention.
"Yeah, I'm fine Eonni." Rosie answered but still looked lost in thought.
"Okay let's hurry." I started the car and went over to the McDonald's wear Kay use to work. I drove behind their building and parked. I finally summited that application for a manager position. And Rose summited hers for a crew member.
"Get up. We need to go talk to Dan." I threw a shirt at Rosie and she changed in the backseat. I threw on a different shirt too. I put Jimin's shirt again and let my hair down. I miss him already. We went inside feeling confident and conflicted.
I opened the front door and immediately went up to the counter. Dan was waiting for me like he expected me to show up.
"Dan let's talk." I motioned for him to follow me and he did.
All 3 of us sat down in a booth far from nosey people. Rosie was still out of it but held it together well.
"Okay let's talk." Dan smiled waiting.
"Right we both sent in our applications via the website. It's all up to date. We can work any time but prefer same shifts or close. We have the one car. And it's safer. Also, I need to make at least 13 an hour with at least 40 hrs every week. And Rose and are a package deal." I made my demands and Dan smiled.
"Deal, so when can you start?" He asked making me smile.
"ASAP, we are kinda out of a job here. We just quit at Taco Bell." I smiled making Dan laugh.
"Be here tomorrow at 12." He shook our hands and left us alone.
We sat for awhile when Lin came up to us urgently. I looked at her confused. She dyed her hair so soon. Just this morning it was brown!
