I sat at my desk in my room later that night trying to fix the chain of my Cross necklace Ally had given me. I didn't know why I was bothering with it after what happened between us. I tried calling and texting her, but it was obvious that she didn't want to talk to me, so I stopped after my third try. Ally wouldn't have pretend date me because of my reputation, right? She wasn't like that, was she? The worst thing about this whole mess is that: even though my heart was broken just like this Cross necklace chain, I still loved Ally. Ally was my whole world, still is. She could throw me over a cliff and I still would love her, but why? I hated her so much in the beginning, so why was I in love with her now?
"Ahh!" I sighed as I laid my head on my desk. I gave up trying to fix this chain for the night. At least I had all week to try and fix it. Not only was it Christmas Break, but I also had two weeks Suspension for attacking Jack and that guy who, in Ally's defense, was attacking Ally first. I knew that when I attacked Jack that I would actually die for Ally.
"Why?" I asked aloud, "Why? Why can't you accept my feelings for you?" I closed my eyes and images of long, dark brown hair, brown eyes filled my thoughts. Memories of annoyingly cute giggles, huge smiles that made her eyes disappear when she was extremely happy or when she got her way haunted my dreams that night.Christmas came and went and so did New Years. Soon the new semester began, and I was on my last week of suspension. All the while, my feelings for Ally only grew. It drove me crazy not being able to talk to her since I wanted to give her her space. It wasn't til I went back to school that I fell impossibly harder for her. She had the whole school celebrate my coming back to school.
"How?" I asked Darren when I found him on the roof, "How did she do this?"
"She wanted to thank you," Darren shrugged, "I filled her in on what happened that night."
"Why?" I whined, "You really know how to kill my ego."
"Hey," Darren said as he looked sideways at me, "you fixed the necklace!"
"Oh," my hand went to the Cross necklace, "yeah, it took all of that time I was off, but I fixed it."
"You fixed it?" A familiar voice came from behind me, and I felt my heart try to jump out of my chest, "That's great!"
"A-Ally," I stuttered as I turned to face her, "h-how was your break?"
"It was alright," She said as she avoided looking at me, "h-how was your break?"
"I'll just leave you two to talk." Darren said as he left just like he did on that day.
"It could've been better." I exhaled the breathe I didn't know I had been holding.
"I bet." Ally giggled that same giggle that I absolutely loved.
"Ally," I sighed as I stepped closer, "please, can we talk about what happened that night?"
"Jake," She said as her hands went up to her neck and I saw that she was still wearing the heart necklace I had given her, "I'm sorry for that night. I didn't mean those things."
"I hoped you didn't," I smiled a small smile, "Ally, I still love you. But if you don't feel the same way still, I understand."
"Jake," She was whispering and I noticed that she was closing the distance between us, "I do. I love you. It took me such a long time to figure it out, but I do. I love you."
"Ally," I cuped her face in my hands, "will you be my girlfriend for real this time?" She didn't answer as she closed the distance and we were kissing. Sloppy at first, but we got better. Our lips fitting perfect against each other. It was sweet and full of love.
"Does that answer your question?" Ally asked as we broke the kiss in order to breath.
"Y-yes." I sighed breathlessly as I ran my hand through her hair.
"I love you Jake Sullivan." She hugged me and placed her head on the crook of my neck.
"I love you too, Ally Haze." I breathed as I put my chin on her shoulder. My Senior Year just got better.
