When I arrived home after getting frozen yogurt, Jackson only lightly scolded me while I got dirty looks from everyone else. I think they just want to see how far I'll take this. Frankly, I did too.
Today I once again wore a shirt that was the right size and some leggings. My hair was in a ponytail and I was ready to go to school. However, when I got to Kyle's house I was greeted by him talking to Blake while leaning on Blake's car.
"Hey Brookie." Kyle greeted me, shirtless with only basketball shorts and black socks on.
"Hey... Are you not going to school?" I asked him and before he answered, Blake stepped in.
"Nope. He's staying home today. I'm taking you to school." He smiled brightly.
"Are you really taking me to school though?" I asked him with a hand on my hip.
"Yep, however I'm not taking you home after school. I have a surprise." He said with a smirk.
"Goody." I said straight faced. I began to walk to the passenger side of Blake's car, having to pass Kyle.
"Bye Brookie. See ya Blake." Kyle said while ruffling my hair before walking inside.
The ride to school was Blake being annoying and cheeky while I laughed at his pathetic jokes or smacked his hand whenever he tried to poke my rib.
The first few hours of school were horrendously boring without Kyle to make the hours go by faster. However, when third hour came by and I got to see Blake, the hour went by too fast. We had a sub and of course everyone took advantage of it.
"Blake, leave her alone." I pleaded as I saw him walking over to her desk.
"I haven't even done anything yet." He whined and threw his head back.
"Enough people are bugging her, just sit down." I asked nicely. He glared at me and I pouted my lip and gave him doe eyes. He scoffed and went to sit next to me.
"You look like a sad fucking puppy." He mumbled. I smiled and started drawing in my notebook.
"Whatcha drawing?" He peaked over my shoulder.
"I don't know." I sighed as I sat back and looked at the lines I began to sketch.
"It looks like a dog." Blake stated, proud of himself. I looked at it for a while before turning to him with a confused look.
"Where do you see the dog?" I asked with more sass than intended.
"Well, that's the tail. It's like on its back but curled at the same time. Those are his ears. And his little paws." Blake pointed to page while trying to show me his vision. I only got more confused.
"I don't see it." I shrugged, feeling kinda bad that I didn't see the same thing Blake did. He shrugged and pulled out his phone.
"Hey Brookie. When's your birthday?" Blake asked without looking up from his phone.
"September 1st. Why?" I asked skeptically. He shook his head and shrugged.
"Just wondering. Wanna play tic tac toe?" He asked, looking up this time with a smile.
"Sure," I laughed and readjusted my self in my chair to face him.
We played a lot of rounds, most of which I won. Whenever I did win, I'd be accused of cheating and had 'excessive training' as Blake liked to say.
Eventually the bell rang and I was alone again until seventh hour. When it finally did roll along, Blake was just sleeping the whole hour, so I threw paper balls at him, drew on his arm, and would occasionally poke his rib. He wasn't ticklish though so when I touch his rib he'd only glare at me.
