I woke up in my car. Fuck, I had used too much yesterday. I looked at my arm. It was one in the afternoon. Fuck. I got out of my car and walked up to the hangar. I had to make sure the institute was running. I walked across the grey room and got in my ship and set it to the institute. A few minutes later Pridewealth landed at institute. I walked out and saw the last of the construction equipment being moved out. I walked in to see the pristine white tiles of the Institute of Intellectualism. On the back wall above the elevator was a stick version of the vitruvian man with a body that looked like a lowercase i with the word of in the middle of it. I walked to the elevator and logged into the touchpad with a swipe of my arm.
"High King Davis, access level; 5, access granted," the robotic voice said as the elevator opened and I stepped inside to go to the depths. The Institute had 3 phases, the people in the theoretical division would come up with an idea, figure out the math and send it to the experimental physicists to have it tested. After that the results are examined and if it has any industrial, medical, or military applications it's sent to applied physicists. I walked to the theoretical division. The white chrome door opened as the pad on the side read my arm and turned green. My great great grandson operated shit here. I walked up to him.
"Dr. Johnson," I said greetingly.
"Hey Sean," he said hugging me. It was brief and familial, "What brings ya here gramps?"
"We're gonna need containment cells for anime things," I said in hushed tones.
"Fuck, that's right, your broadcast yesterday," He responded, "I'll see what me and mine can pull together."
"Thanks Matt," I said walking away. Now to talk to director. He was my second grandchild, his mother was my third child and the previous director was my son-in-law, Chris Price. I got in the elevator and it went up. The office area was a stark contrast to the rest of the Institute. It was wood and retro styled with stone and wood flooring. I walked into the office through a traditional wood door with non-clear glass with the words, Director Price, in black letters on them. The setting was made by his father and the desk was the original one his father had before the Royal Institute was bombed and he was killed in 2079 in the Apocalypse week. The desk still showed marks from the bombs.
"Hello Oliver," I said.
"Hey Sean, what did ya need," He said looking up from his computer.
"You saw my broadcast yesterday?" I asked.
"Of course, everyone did, the media is in blitzkrieg trying to blame the WR for not doing its job, anti-militant groups have resurfaced condemning the WR saying it's the root, super militants saying the WR never did enough, you haven't seen?" he said.
"No, I used a lot of energy yesterday, passed out in my car afterward and woke up about 9 minutes ago," I said. Akaalist was still reforming somewhere.
"I'm gonna need this place to galvanise for storage and interrogation of anime things," I said.
"Interrogation? Sounds like prisoners, I thought the WR didn't do prisoners?" He asked.
"The Weeaboo Resistance is dead, and so are its methods, we need something new," I said, "because in the end everyone in the media was right, we were to militant and didn't do enough, we tried to eradicate it through force."
"What's the alternative?" Director Price asked.
"A cure," I said.
"You're gonna need other governments to cooperate, the previously WR countries own 98% of the entire universe in total," He said. I nodded.
"Then that's what we'll do, we'll bring it all back for one last victory, i'll talk to Ryan," I said as I walked out.
I was on my way back when I called Ryan.
"What the frick did you do?" Ryan said.
"What?" I asked.
"I've been thinking of how to deal with this crap for four months, now the media across most of the universe is crucifying the WR and us," He said.
"Fuck," I said.
"What are we gonna do?" Ryan asked.
"Exactly what I said," I responded after a second, "beat them back." I ended the call. When I arrived I had Ares draw up a protocol similar to the WR. I called Ryan and we pitched it. It was changed to be a little less militant and named from Anime Attack Vengeance Protocol (AAV Protocol) to the Anime Containment Coalition (ACC). Now we had to get the others back.
