A man with shoulder length white hair and a single glowing red eye, the other one lifeless and milky white, stood on a hill of a planet somewhere in the omniverse. He held a spear with the head made of red burning fire. He controlled The Rim now, he was the leader of the Brotherhood of Gods and in time, he would recreate the omniverse, but better. He tapped the spear. A circle of red fire appeared and in the center a pure and black void, a portal leading to the nothingness. He stepped through. He drifted in the eternal, and yet lack of eternal, nothingness. No time, no matter, no temperature, no life, no death, no space. Only Void.

"You have no business here or with me matter!" A voice rumbled from all directions, deep to the man's bones.

"I think I do Void," The man whispered in response.

"Ashlord, you dare defile a true God with your presence for your menial, material business. You will be destroyed, you know this correct?"

"No, I think not Void," The Ashlord said calmly reaching into the long coat which burned at the trims. He pulled out a pure black crystal. He began speaking words, words that had never been spoken to the Void.

"NO! I WILL NOT BE CONFINED!" The nothingness roared. The nothingness tried to pull at The Ashlord. There was a woosh and a final scream from the nothingness. The Ashlord held the small orb in his hand which now glowed faintly. He summoned his spear. He took the small orb and placed it on the place between the blade and the shaft. The milk white eye turned black as did the white of his other eye. The flames of the spear and the coat turned black. The Ashlord closed his eyes and screamed. He felt grass beneath him again. He opened his eyes. Both eyes were pure black, holding the essence and power of Void, the nothingness. In his right eye, only a small glowing red pinprick remained. Now to set the next events into motion.
