I'm reaching up and take a breath,
I feel your breathing on my neck,
Your soft hands slowly caress my hair,
He's tall, handsome and quite fair.
I love you like a midnight sky,
The way it twinkles in your eyes,
Your heart is sweet, as good as gold,
I'll love you even when we're old.
You bring out the best in me, I swear,
I hope you never leave, my dear,
I pray this is real, that this is true love,
That you were sent as a gift from above.
And although this is all I have to say,
I hope you'll never forget the way,
We smile at each other,
The way you make me laugh,
It's all I have left,
All the memories of the past.
