Bad Boys' Secret Weapon (On Hold)

Chapter 8

The Boys' P.O.V.

     Daniel, Josh, and Cody went back to the house they all shared after dropping Jade back off at the park. Well, technically they waited for her to leave the park and silently followed her home to make sure she got there safely before heading back to the house. None of them could figure out the reason why she would rather be picked up at the park instead of her house. They didn't ponder on it long and decided to order a couple of pizzas and watch t.v. all night.

     "So what's next?" Josh asked the other boys. "Well, tomorrow we need to talk to Jade and ask her about everything that happened last night. I figured we could just bring her back here since 'your parents are away'," Cody said making sure to put up quotation marks when saying his parents were away. Daniel and Cody snickered while Josh tried defending himself. "It's the best I could come up with! I didn't hear you two throwing out ideas." "You should have at least printed some pictures off of google of a perfect family and photoshoped yourself in. Don't you think she found it suspicious that the only pictures in the house are of us?" Cody said pointing around the room. Josh seemed to ponder it for a bit before saying,"She didn't say anything so I assumed she didn't notice." "She didn't say anything because she didn't want to be rude and call you out on it," Daniel said speaking up.

     Josh and Cody both looked at him in astonishment over the fact that he was actually paying attention to their conversation. Cody was the first to snap back to reality saying,"Yea, what he said." Josh glared at him and said,"Well do you want me to go find some pictures of the perfect family to hang up here?" Cody looked at him in astonishment, this time over the fact that so much stupidity could possibly fit into one person. He smacked him on the back of the head and replied,"No you idiot. She's already been here once. She would be even more suspicious if pictures of your 'family' just started popping up." Josh groaned and leaned his head on the back of the couch.

     They had been sitting in silence for nearly ten minutes when Cody spoke up. "Guys, we never told her to be sure to use a fake name." Josh and Daniel's heads snapped up, panic already setting in. "I'm sure it'll be okay. We can't go tonight anyway. We need sleep and so does Jade," Josh said standing from the couch. Cody and Daniel eventually agreed that it could wait until morning and followed Josh upstairs until they split off in different directions to their bedrooms.

     None of them could sleep that night over the fear rising within them. If Jade hadn't used a fake name then it could easily be found out that she was working with them. If that was found out everything would go down like a domino effect. Jade would be in the kind of danger that could get her killed, the boys' location would be found out, and they would loose any chance they had of learning what they needed from Tobias. So much was riding on the sake of her having used a fake name.
