New girl (A Colby Brock fanfic)

Broken hearted

  When we arrived back at mine and Matt's apartment we all just sat down and tried to take in what just happened.  I was still scared my mind stuck in things like what if it followed us here?
  "Josie again I'm really sorry. Honestly I should have asked Shea what happened to her when she was there." Colby said as he looked at me form across the room.

"Colby stop beating yourself up over it. I could have happened to anyone." I laughed remembering just earlier that day how he had said that to me.

"Hey do you guys think we could stay the night?" Sam asked.

"What you too afraid to drive?" Matt joked.

"Yeah just a bit." Sam laughed as he played with his hair.

"Yeah of course you can stay. I'll go grab some blankets from y'all after I change." I said getting up and walking back to my room.
I grabbed my pajamas out of my drawer. Just some shorts and an over sized panic at the disco girls girls boys t shirt.
  I grabbed some blankets off the top shelf in my closet and some extra pillows off my bed.

"Here." I said. As I handed Colby the blankets and smiled at him.

"Thanks for the terror guys." Gabbie said as she got up to leave.

"Yup if you ever wanna be scared you know who to call." Sam said as he winked like a guy from a cheesy tv commercial.

"Haha yeah totally. Night guys!" Gabbie said as she stepped out of the door.

"Okay I'm going to lay down in my room and watch tv. I highly doubt I'm going to sleep." I said.

"Alright night Josie." Sam smiled.

"Don't let the demons get ya." Colby joked.

"Shut up Colby!"I yelled jokingly.

"Ha night Hoe." Matt laughed as I walked into my room.

I flipped in the lights as I turned in my tv and PlayStation which is what I use for watching Netflix and well playing video games.
I turned on friends and just kinda lied in bed and watched that after I turned off my light.
Not to long after I lied down I herd a knock at my bedroom door. I assumed it was Matt coming in to fangirl over what just happened, but when I got up to answer it Colby was standing there. He looked like he was in the verge of tears.

"Colby... what's wrong? What happened?" I asked frantically.

"Shea... she... she broke up with me." He cried.
  So they were are together well were.

"Come in and sit down." I said moving away from in front of the door.
  Colby came into my room and sat in the edge of my bed with his head in his hands.

"Colby calm down." I said as I sat next to him with my legs folded Indian style.  "What happened? Like what did she say?" I asked kindly.

"She said that she didn't think she could be with me anymore because I helped you out today instead of going with her." He explained his voice getting shaky.

"I'm sorry Colby. If I would never have been stupid and drank like that this wouldn't have happened." I said as I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Don't blame yourself. She got jealous that I helped you and when she was saying mean things about you I told her to leave I understand where she was coming from." Colby explained as he lifted his heat from his hands to look at me.

"Have you ever had another friend who was a female since you've been with her?" I asked.

"No she made me cut them all off. She blocked them all from my phone." He explained.

"Not to be mean or anything Colby, but that's kinda a bitchy thing to do. You shouldn't have had to cut off friend who you never dated. I mean if you had dated them I would understand a bit more , but if they were just friends and that's all they had ever been I don't see why there should have been a problem." I explained nervous that he would be mad at me for saying that.

"You're right. I was stupid." Colby said looking over at me tears still running down his face.

"You're not stupid Colby! You have a heart." I explained. Why am I doing this? I'm falling for him, but I k ow he'll never love me. I'm just a friend. But I want to help him as best as I can.

"I do t know what I would have done without you Josie. I probably would have called her and begged for her to come back." Colby said as he wiped his eyes with his hands.

"Hey I'm here for you Colby. You know even thought I've only known you for just over 24 hours." I kinda chuckled. Honestly I suck in these situations.

"Thank you Josie." He said hugging me out of the blue.
  My body seemed to lock up and I blushed. I wrapped my hands around his arms since he had hugged me from the side.

"No problem Colby." I said.

"Do you mind if I sleep of the floor in here? I don't want Sam or Matt to see that I was crying." Colby asked as he looked down at his hands.

"Of course. You can sleep in my bed with me if you want. I mean as long as you feel comfortable with that." I said as I smiled at him trying to make him feel okay.

"I'll just sleep on the floor I do t want you to be uncomfortable." He said

"Alright if that's what you want." I said as I moved back up on my bed towards my pillow and slipped back under the blankets.

"Night Josie." Colby said as he grabbed my extra blanket from the end of my bed and curled up on the floor.

"Night here have a pillow." I laughed as I threw on of my extra pillows at him.

"Thanks." He laughed.

I was heart broken to see him like that. I understand heart break, but seeing him go through that hurt more than any heart break I'd ever gone through.
