Perfect

I stood there staring at Matt in shock.

"You need a drink? I saw some beers over there." I said as I looked at him the looked around for Sam.

"Na that will just make it worse." He said as he sat down on a tree stump.

"We'll go mingle. Matt these are youtubers we've loved  since middle school." I said excitedly.

"Alright." He groaned as he stood up.

Matt and I walked back towards the crowd of people. But Sam likes Matt? SAM LIKES GUYS? I'm so confused.

"I'm hi you must be Josie." I taller guy with fake blonde and brown hair said to me.

"Yeah hi." I said kinda smiling. He was kinda cute, but I'm stuck in Colby.

"I'm Jake." He said smiling at me.

"Oh you're Jake Webber!" I laughed surprised that I hadn't recognized him right away.

"So um your new right?" He asked.

"Uh yeah I'm shocked you didn't see me at the party." I laughed.

"Oh no I did I just didn't know if you wanted talk about that." He laughed kinda playing with his hair.

"Na that happens to a lot of people. But hey I'm looking for Colby. Do you know where he went?" I asked remembering that Colby wanted me to meet back with him after I talked to Matt.

"Why would you want Colby when you could have me?" Jake said grabbing my arm gently.

"Yeah... he told me to meet back up with him so I really need to find him." I said as I grabbed his and and moved it off my arm.

"Alright whatever he's over there talking to Shea." Have pointed over by where the dj was. Yes they had a DJ at this thing , but wait what SHEA?!

I walked over towards him quickly making sure to swing my hips as I walked. Once again she was all over him and Colby didn't seem to like it.

"Hey Colbs!" I said happily as ow asked up behind him and put my hands on his shoulders.

"Josie isn't it?" Shea said in a bitchy tone.

"Yeah you're Shea right?" I said trying to sound nice.

"Don't to have somewhere else to be like I don't know. It's a weeknight so your bedtime was like 2 hours ago." She smirked. Was she really making fun of the fact that I was 18. I really had nothing to say comebacks aren't my thing I just usually punch.
I looked over at Colby who was looked at me wides eyed. Then I walked away. I had a plan. I always have a plan. Well it always usually I'm pretty lost when it comes to these things.
  I walked over the the DJ and started to talk to him.

"Hey I'm Josie." I said smiling at him.

"Hey I'm Kyle." He said looking at me for a quick second then turning back to his computer.

"Could you do me a favor." I asked sweetly.

"Sure anything." He said.

"Play perfect by Ed Shearen." I said happily.

"Will do." He said scrolling through his computer.

"Thanks." I said as I walked away and back towards Colby. The song that was playing cut off half way through and perfect started to play. Right away couples were fencing together and it was really cute. As I walked over I saw Shea trying to get Colby to dance, but he was declining. I don't blame him the both broke his heart.

"Hey Colbs." I said walking back into him and stank g next to Shea.

"Hey Josie how's it going meet anyone new yet?" He asked moving his gaze from Shea to me.

"Well I met Jake but he was a little... um flirty." I said still kinda freaked out about that.

"Yeah and you're not!" Shea snapped at me.
I just ignored her.

"I love this song." I said pretending like I had just noticed that it was on.
God what am I doing I'm so desperate?!

"So do I." Colby smiled at me.

"Well...um.." I stuttered my nerves kicking in like I was at a middle school dance and talking to the cute popular guy.

"Yes Josie I'll dance with you." He laughed as he put his hand out for me to grab.

"Talk you you later Shea." He said as we walked a bit closer to the fire.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and I hugged my hands around his neck.

"Ugh one sec." I said. I kicked off my shoes off to the side. They were killing my feet. Colby chuckled. I rested my head in his shoulder as he pulled me closer to him.

"Thank you." He whispered.

"Thank you for what?" I said lifting my head to look at his blue eyes. No Josie you're doing it again! You're falling for him! Stop he's too cute for you! I told myself.

"Josie I know what you just did. I saw you talking to the DJ." He laughed.

"So you know?" I asked shyly.

"Yes Josie I know you like. You wouldn't have helped me like that with my Shea issue then. I just don't want to date you right now Shea broke me, but I know I can trust you." He explained with Sweet eyes.

"I made a fool of myself." I said looking down at my feet.

"Hey Josie look at me." He said sweetly. I looked up and my eyes met his.

"You didn't make a fool of yourself you look cute when you get jealous." He laughed.

"Ugh stop I hate cheesy love talk." I chuckled.
Colby looked over at Shea. His eyes seemed to plead for her back, but he was smart enough to know he should get back with her.

"Colby she's not worth the stress." I said to get his attention back in me.

"I miss her Josie." He said. Ugh if high school drama shows have thought me anything this was my chance.

I pulled him closer to me and planted my lips on his. What the fuck am I doing!!! I'm so stupid! Wait he's not pulling away! He's kissing me back!! Holy shit! I thought to myself excitedly.

I pulled away before he did because I was in shock.

"I'm sorry." I muttered. Honestly I felt bad.

"Hey Josie don't be." He said slamming his lips back on mine.
The song ended and Colby pulled away just as Shea walked up.

"What do you think that was?!" She asked as she got in my face.

"That's a kissing. I think you might have been doing it wrong with that guy at the party. Your mouth is up here Shea." I said pointing to my mouth. I remember seeing her with some guy in Sam's room at the party when I went to use the bathroom. That's a just before I passed out.

"At lest I didn't practically strip on the kitchen counter!" She snapped at me.

"You were sucking some guys dick in Sam's bedroom while your BOYFRIEND was down stairs!!!" I said getting closer to her face.
Colby liked at me wide eyed.

"Shea is that true?" Colby asked he. He was on the verge of tears.

"Well... uh .. yeah." She said.

"You know what I fucked up." Colby said as he walked away a and down the dirt road we came up earlier.

"Colby wait." I said as I picked up my shoes and ran after him.

"Colby.." I said as I caught up to him and walked next to him.

"Josie you wanna just leave and we can go to my place or your place and just watch a movie? I wanna get out of here." He asked as he walked closer to me.

"Sure why not I'm not really a party person anyway." I smiled. "Let me just text Matt to tell him I'm leaving." I said as I took out my phone.

Well shit this night went from good to shitty to AMAZING!!!!
