New girl (A Colby Brock fanfic)

Loosing the game of life

"What?!" I asked as I jumped up and started putting my clothes back on.

"We were walking to the karaoke place from the Uber and we were in a group of people and we all herd a gun shot and Sam fell to the ground." Matt became hysterical barely able to even stand. As I slipped on my tank top I rushed over to him and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Where was he shot?" I asked, still hugging Matt.

"I... I don't know the cops rushed in pushing me aside. There was fans there Josie. Fans watched this happen to him.
Colby haven't spoke a word yet and he was making me nervous. Colby didn't even have his shirt on it was just in his hand as he rushed past Matt and I.

"Let's go guys." He said calmly. Too calmly he was freaking me out.
We all rushed out the door and to Colby's car. When we made it to the hospital Colby finally put his shirt on in the parking lot. We all rushed in the ER entrance and Matt ran up to the window where a receptionist was sitting.

"A man just came in with a gunshot wound where is he?" Matt's sled frantically.

"Hey Matt calm down man." Colby said as he grabbed Matt's shoulders. I came up behind the both of them and stood next to Matt.

"Sir what is this mans name?" She asked as she looked at Matt.

"Samuel Golbach." Matt said as tears ran down his face.

"Mr. Golbach is currently in emergency surgery. May I get your names and relationship to Mr. Golbach?" She asked as she turned to her computer.

"Colby Brock, best friend." Colby began as the receptionist looked up at him.

"The name in your license please." She said as she returned her eyes to her computer.

"Cole Brock." Colby explained growing more and more irritated.

"Josline Asher, best friends girlfriend."

"Matthew Lawson... boyfriend." Matt said.

"Alright. It's going to be a few hours so if you'd like to go home we'll call you with updates and when you can come visit him." The lady explained.

"What the hell happened?!" Elton asked as he came rushing in the ER doors with Corey, Devyn and Aaron.

"Sam got shot." I explained as I looked at them.

"Is he okay?" Devyn asked.

"He's in surgery they won't know for a few more hours." Colby said. He was still surprisingly calm. Scary calm.

   Everyone was silent I don't think anyone knew what to say or do. Matt sat down with his head in his hands.

"Matty." I said as I sat beside him.

"This is my fault Josie." He said as he looked up at me.

"Matty don't say that. This is not your fault. For all we know they might not have ment to hit Sam." I said as I took one of his hands in both of mine.

"I can't afford to lose him. Josie I can't. He's everything I have." Matty said.

"Matty I know what you mean I can't go through that again either." I explained holding back tears. This one I have to be strong.

"Again?" Colby asked as he sat next to me.

"I'll explain later." I said as I looked over at him still holding Matt's hand. He rested his head on my shoulder.

"Matt you should really go home and shower tot have blood on your shirt." Colby pointed out.

"No I'm staying here with him." Matt said as I let go of my hand and looked at Colby.

"Colby." I said as I looked at him.

"What babe?" He asked as he looked at me. His eyes were growing red.

"A word please." I said as I stood up. Colby nodded at me and we walked out to his car. He leaned on the side of his car and I stood in front of him.

"How are you so calm?" I asked as I looked him dead in the face. Then he lost it he started sobbing. Like that kind of sobbing that you can't talk let alone breath properly. He collapsed on the ground and I crouched next to him and pulled him into the tightest hug I could.
     Neither of us spoke neither of us could speak. My heart was shattering seeing him like this. I didn't really know what to do beside hug him.

"I need to call his mom." Colby managed to say.

"I'll do it she won't be able to understand you baby." I said still hugging him. Colby handed me his phone and I clicked sans moms contact still sitting on the ground next to Colby.

"Mrs. Goldbach..." I began. "It's Sam. He's in the ER he was shot." I said my voice breaking into tears at that end. " he's in surgery we have no clue how he is." I explained just as Matt came running out of the ER.

"Josie!" He yelled as he came up to me in tears. Colby stood up.

"He's already out of surgery. They don't think he's gonna make it." Matt's voice broke. Colby began to sob and hugged Matt tightly.

"Mrs. Golbach I think you need to get here as soon as you can. They don't think he's gonna..." I could even say the last part, but she knew what I ment.
    I hung up the phone and joined in the hug with Matt and Colby we all sobbed.

"I'm gonna find who did this and I'm gonna fucking kill them!" Colby said breaking the silence.

"We need to go home." I said to Colby and Matt.

"I can't leave him." Colby said as he looked at Matt and I.

"They won't let you in until tomorrow anyway colbs." I explained.

"Baby..."

"Colby please we need to I've the doctors time." I said As I grabbed his hand. He nodded. Matt was still refusing to leave.
