Chapter 13

Fitz's POV

We appeared in front of the glittering gates of Everglen. Biana ran up and licked the secret emergency strip that would open the gates. When we got inside, mine and Biana's mom, Della, came running up to us. 

"Are you all ok?" she asked frantically. As she said that Sophie collapsed from all the energy she just used to inflict.

"Mom, can you hail Elwin?" I asked her.

"Yeah. Why don't you go put Sophie in your room and have Keefe in the guest room right here."

I carried Soph up to my room while the rest of our friends helped Keefe.

Fitz?
Soph? Are you ok?
Yeah. Where are we going?
You collapsed so my mom told me told me to take you up my room.
OK.

She held onto me tighter and then we got to my room. I opened the door and laid her down on the bed. I was about to go because I thought that she would want to sleep without me in the room, but stopped when I heard her whisper," No, don't go. I don't want to be alone. Please?"

"Ok," was all I said and walked over to the bed. I laid down next to her and gave her a hug to comfort her. She snuggled further into my embrace.

"I love you, Fitz" said Sophie.

"I love you too, Soph."

After I knew that she was asleep, I decided that I would take just a little nap.

Biana's POV

My brother just carried my best friend up stairs and then rest of us went with Keefe. Soon after we got him settled in the bedroom, Elwin came rushing in asking LOTS of questions while flashing colored orbs around Keefe. After we explain what happened, Elwin said that Keefe needed sleep. Lihn stayed behind to keep an eye on Keefe. Tam said that he would go tell the Black Swan about the rescue. That left just me and Dex. 

"So..." I said.

"So..." said Dex.

"Why is this weird for us to talk without anyone else around? I mean we are still friends. What do you want to talk about?" I said

"I don't know," said Dex.

"Hmmm...why don't we talk about match making scrolls. Are you going to get one?"

"I don't know, probably."

"WHAT? Why wouldn't you want to get one? Don't you want to see who is on your list?" I asked him.

"Well...yeah,but...what if the person I like isn't there? And even if they are, they don't like me back." said Dex.

"Oh..." I said. See, he doesn't like you why did you have to get your hopes up, Biana!  I scolded myself. "Well, maybe I could help. Who's the person?"

"Um...it's...um...y-you?" said Dex. 

I was so surprised by this I asked him to say it again and when he did I was filled with so much happiness that I ran over and hugged him.

"Dex, I like you too. I wanted to tell you but I thought you wouldn't like me back. But I guess that my secret wasn't hard to reveal after you told me." I said.

After we stopped hugging, I said "Hey we should get everyone's match making packet and surprise them will it when everyone is feeling better." With that we walked to the leapmaster that to us to the match maker's office.

"Can I have a match making packet for Biana Vacker, Dexter Dizznee (did I spell it right?), Lihn Song, Tam Song, and Sophie Foster, please?" I asked.
