Chapter 12

Linh's POV

What!?  I thought to myself. Marella is an enhancer!?

"I'm going to help you, Linh, and Biana stay invisible," she said.

"Dex do you have the gadgets?" asked Mr. Forkle.

"Yeah," Dex said "they're right here." He pulled out some things from his pocket. "This one will help some not drain from using their power. I brought one for all of us. This one will keep Sophie and Fitz invisible when any Neverseen member comes close,since they will be the distraction."

"You kids sound ready," said Mr. Forkle.

Then we all leapt the the hideout where Keefe was. "We go this way, you guys go that way," said Fitz. We split off. Marella help Tam and Biana's hand to enhance their ability. I used one of Dex's invention to make my ability not drain since I had to keep a light moist of water to make Tam's shadows darker. Dex pulled out the catch to tell us where Keefe was. I held Tam's hand and Dex held Biana's hand. 

"Left," said Dex. He kept telling us directions for us to follow. We took out a couple of Neverseen people along the way, but eventually got there. 

" Keefe!" I said.

"Lihn, Biana, Dex, Tam, Marella, what are you doing here? It's dangerous!"

"Uh... guys. Fitz just trasmitted to me and said that the Neverseen knows our plan. We have to go now." said Biana.

I help Keefe up to his feet and I put his arm around my shoulder. We were walking around until we found Sophie and Fitz. Now our whole group was together. We just barely walking when we heard a voice, that I'll never forget, say," Leaving so soon?"

We all turned around to find Fintan, Brant, Ruy, and Alavar. Sophie and Fitz walked in-front of the rest of us, holding hands.

"Hello, Brother and Sister. Come to follow your big brother?" asked Alvar.

"Never. We would never do that." said Fitz with disgust in his voice. 

Sophie's POV

I could tell that Fitz was holding back from tackling Alvar, so a gave him a reassuring squeeze to let him know that he wasn't alone.

"Huh. You got the freak with the brown eyes. You could do better than that, Fitz. You're a Vacker." said Alvar.

"She's not a freak!" yelled Fitz at his brother.

"Whatever you say." said Alvar.

While this was going on I told everyone to get ready to run because I was going to inflict. I also asked Tam to make sure that Ruy didn't make a force field. 

I transmitted 3...2...1... NOW!

I inflicted all of the pain and sorrow onto them. While they crumpled to the ground, we run until we found enough light to light leap everyone to Everglen. Fitz held up the crystal and we all let the light carry us to safety.
