7. Rest

NATES POV

To say I was pissed was an understatement, I was beyond pissed.

I had gone and laid Jess in our bed after she had passed out.

I made sure the pack doctor stayed there until she had wakened up to make sure nothing else was wrong. But it seemed that she had only passed out due to stress and I knew it was because of her brother.

Now we sat in my office as Jason was pacing back and forth.

"I just...don't...understand..how could they do that to her.. I could have been there for her...I could have saved her..."

He knew. He knew when we went to the house to get my money. He knew it was his parents. But he had made it clear in his mind, they weren't his parents no more. After that night, I made him decide and from then on it stuck.

"I told you that night you had a choice, for you to either come with me and join our pack or go home and continue to be a rogue...."

I remember what had happened that night and it was pretty crazy. I was just running on my nightly run through the woods as I needed to let my wolf out.

When suddenly I smelled fire mixed with alcohol and the scent of rogues, but one familiar scent got to me and I knew exactly who it had belonged too.

"Ughh I know...I just at that moment you knew how I was. I just wanted to pay you back cause you saved my life and for everything before..." He had stopped pacing and was now settled down in front of me.

"You know you have to tell her more, correct? You only have told her of that night, you haven't told her on how we originally met...."

His leg was going up and down, he was nervous.

"Listen if I tell her more now she is probably going to pass out again due to all this stress and I don't need that right now. I will tell her but you also have to tell her the truth..."

I looked straight dead at his eyes as he said that, very surprised that he told me that. He had no right to tell me what and when I need to tell my story it would be on my own time.

"Listen, I will tell her the truth when the time is right! but YOU need to tell her about your family because right now she believes that you were the only brother she ever had!"

He stood there frozen as in he knew what he had to do but was just scared of how Jessie would react. She already found out she was adopted and is probably thinking what happened to her real parents.

There Jason sat down and started to massage his head, I knew this was all getting to him but he needed to understand that those people in the basement were going to be killed by me soon.

But before that, I wanted Jess to know the entire truth, about her entire life before Jason and his parents had come into it.

Sighing, I looked at him.
"I'm sorry for earlier as well, you know it's my wolf that comes out like that."

Chuckling, he shook his head.
"I know. Figured it was and still is."

Right as I was going to tell him something, a knock interpreted us. "COME IN!" I yelled as it was one of the maids.

"Alpha she has awoken, and is asking for you..."

Once I heard those words I threw my chair back and quickly ran up the stairs to her.

JESSICA'S POV

I woke up quickly as I was having a hard time breathing. Looking around, I excepted to see Nate but all I saw was an old man and the woman that had helped me before, who were silently talking to each other.
