5. The Secret

I am really sorry I haven't updated in a long long long time I didn't really think that many would read this story tbh. I had been so busy with work and school but thank you to everyone that is reading the story now and adding it to their reading list 👍🏼

Frozen, did he just say 'WEREWOLF'. I heard stories about werewolves, some good but mostly bad.

I had heard one night from my parents, now that I remember about an Alpha. But ignored it because didn't seem so important.

Grabbing my face, he brought me out of my thought.

"Hey. Remember I promise you, I won't hurt you."

Staring into my eyes, I suddenly got lost. At that moment I didn't even care anymore, which lead me to a thousand other questions that popped into my mind.

Turning away, I wrote down on the notepad that exactly to him and shoved it towards him. He smiled as he spoke to me, getting closer to me.

"Of course. How about we go upstairs and we can talk in my room. More comfortable and we can get to know each other better."

I shook my head, kind of wanting to stay here in his office more.

"Alright, write down all the questions you have in that pretty little mind then I'll answer them for you." He pulled away as he grabbed his chair and sat me down in it.

"I'll leave you here okay.. and whenever you are done you can leave the notepad here or come get me okay?" Speaking softly, he then walked away.

There I was left alone, for some reason feeling ever ten times lonely. Sighing, I begin to write down the questions.

-What do werewolves eat?
- What do werewolves do?
- Are you a nice wolf?
- Do you attack humans?
- Do you eat humans?
- Do you know vampires?
- How do my "parents" know you?

As I wrote these questions down I realize that some of them actually sounded so stupid.

When I was little, there were so many stories that were told to me!

First, I was to never get close to werewolves since they were the most dangerous creature in the forest. Secondly, if you were to ever see one you should hide and not show fear cause that's what they feed off of. Then lastly, never befriend one.

As I finished off, I wrote down one more I was actually afraid to even write down and ask him.

- What is a mate?

This one made my heart flutter. I did some research before since I was always warned to stay away. And remember I had seen something about soulmates. I felt awkward to ask but might as well try especially if I am going to be here for a while.

Quietly I sighed as I looked over the questions thinking of anything else but just shrugged.

Getting up from his chair, I walked towards the door but right as I about to turn the knob, it swung open and Nate stood there blushing really hard.

"Um I swear I was not by the door the entire time.." Pulling away, I smiled. He was blushing.

I grabbed his hand and brought him over to his desk.

"Are you done with the questions baby?.. well I mean I am assuming since you were going out but I mean I wouldn't know.." Smiling, I grabbed the notepad and placed it in his hands. Gesturing towards him to read them.

Turning away, he looked down at the paper and softly chuckled. I watched as he read the questions one by one then turned towards me.
"Well um..these questions are very curious."

Chuckling, he looked up at me and gave me the most breathtaking smile ever. Gosh that smile seemed to do things to me in a way that just makes me feel happy. Shaking my head, I realized what I just thought and cleared my throat, nodding towards the questions.

"Ok we'll let's start with the first question." Leaning towards him, he must of noticed me standing up and quickly grabbed me to sit on his lap again.

And for some reason this time, I didn't squirm away.

"Alright first we, werewolves basically eat anything except for humans! Our bodies are just like human bodies, we just need to watch what we eat to stay fit and keep our wolf self-strong."

I smiled and looked down cause I was embarrassed in asking that question but just wanted to make sure.

"Second, my pack only attack those that seem like a threat or are disrespecting our pack in any sort of way. With that said if anyone and I mean anyone disrespect you, you do not hesitate in telling me because I will make sure they understand you are the Luna and will be respected!"

I nodded my head as I grabbed his face into my hands to calm him down as I saw his eyes start to change colors, which not going to lie freaked me out.

"Sorry my love, I didn't mean to scare you its just....I'll tell you later we are about to have company.."

Sudden a knock was at the door, what the heck. Did he sense that? He looked angry as his entire demeanor changed.

"COME IN!" He yelled at whoever was on the other side as I tried to get off his lap but of course he just gave me that look which just made me stay.

"Alpha, I'm sorry but we have some news, that you may want to hear.." As I looked up, I saw it was one of the men in the kitchen but his face seemed to pale as I saw someone else walk around him.

And it was the last person I expect to be there, It was the one person that changed my entire life since that day...my brother
