Jiyong's POV

"Jiyong—" I hear her voice, trembling, almost breaking.

"What?" I ask, my eyes narrowing as I turn toward her.

"Please... tell me that it's not true," she pleads, her voice barely a whisper.

"What will I gain if I tell you that?" I ask, my gaze fixed on her.

"Please, Jiyong... tell me... tell me that you still love me," she begs, desperation in her tone.

I smirk, unable to hide a flicker of amusement.

"Why should I?" I say softly, letting the words sting. "I remember you told me you didn't want me to lie to you, right?"

"J-Jiyong..." she stammers.

"What? Dara... don't you see? Are you stupid, or what?" I snap, though I immediately regret the sharpness.

"Baby~" a voice interrupts me. Kiko. My new girlfriend. She has everything I want in a girl—experienced, confident, and irresistible.

I notice Dara's gaze shift toward Kiko, sharp and questioning.

"Who is she?" she asks, suspicion clear in her tone. I put my arms around Kiko's waist instinctively.

"Nothing, baby... she's just someone from my past," I say casually.

"Oh... your ex," she mutters, her voice trembling slightly.

"J-Jiyong!" Dara calls again. I ignore her. Kiko leans in, and I kiss her. She's different—more mature, more thrilling, more... exciting.

"YOU B*TCH!" Dara's scream cuts through our moment.

Kiko yelps as Dara grabs her hair and slaps her repeatedly. My heart races—I can't believe Dara can act like this.

"OH MY GHAD, JIYONG! HELP ME!!" Kiko screams. My instincts kick in, and I rush toward them.

"DARA! STOP THAT!" I shout, grabbing her arm.

"NO! THIS B*TCH MUST LEARN HER LESSON!" Dara screams back, wild and untamed.

I pull her away with all my strength.

"LET ME GO, JIYONG! I'LL TEACH HER HER LESSON!" she yells, struggling against me.

"STOP THAT, DARA!" I shout again. She freezes, looking at me—shock and confusion swirling in her eyes.

"J-Jiyong? That girl... she's seducing you... it's her fault," she murmurs.

"Stop this, Dara. I told you—I don't love you anymore," I say firmly. Her eyes widen slightly, disbelief plain as day.

"But Ji... I know you're lying... come on, Ji... let's go home... leave that girl," she says, holding my hand. I snap it away.

"J-Ji..." she gasps, stunned. I grab her hands and hold her gaze.

"Listen, Dara... I'm sorry if you're hurt right now. I'm sorry for everything I've done... for lying, for cheating... I can't change the past... or even my feelings," I say, my voice softer now.
"...but please... accept it. She's not seducing me. I love her... so much. And please... leave us alone."

"J-Jiyong... no... please... please... I know you're lying... please..." she cries, her voice breaking.

"Please, Jiyong... don't do this... please..." she sobs, clutching at my arms.

"Dara... you know I hate seeing you cry... please..." I murmur, pity washing over me. But my heart is cold now—my love for her has faded.

"I'll stop crying... just please... come back to me... I'll do anything... please... please..." she pleads, dropping to her knees in front of me.

"Dara, stand up, please," I say firmly.

"Babe... stop that drama. Let's go now... leave that b*tch. We'll be late... come on," Kiko interrupts.

"Okay, babe," I reply, but my eyes linger on Dara. She's still crying, her sobs wracking her small frame.

"Dara, listen... I hate saying this, but... I'm sorry. Accept what has happened. I know the truth is hard, painful, but it will make you stronger... stronger. You're a great woman... very strong... and I know you'll find a man who will give you everything... not like me... someone who hurts you," I say. I start to walk, but she grabs my leg.

"Jiyong, please..." she begs.

"Dara... let go of me, please," I respond calmly but firmly.

"No! No... no... no... please..." she cries, shaking her head.

"Jiyong... let's go!!" Kiko shouts.

"Dara, please..." I plead. She shakes her head violently, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Argh... that girl is getting on my nerves..." Kiko mutters, irritation creeping into her voice.

"Dara... let go," I say, exasperated.

"No... no... no..." she sobs, clinging tighter.

"Aish..." Kiko huffs, stepping forward and grabbing Dara's arm, pulling her roughly.

"Okay... now let's go," Kiko says, dragging Dara toward the door. I glance back at her one last time—she's shaking her head, defiant yet broken. I turn and follow Kiko.

"Oh... what a scene, Ji... your ex is really... weird," Kiko comments.

"Yeah," I say quietly.

"I think she's crazy... hahaha... I pity her... she can't accept the truth... very pathetic," Kiko adds. I merely nod, silent.

"Let's g—" Kiko starts, but someone grabs her hair, yanking her backward.

"YOU B*TCH! I WILL TEACH YOU A LESSON YOU'LL NEVER FORGET!" Dara screams, slapping Kiko furiously.

"DARA! STOP THAT!" I shout, pulling Dara's arms to force her to release Kiko.

"NO!" she cries, grabbing Kiko again.

"SH*T! JIYONG! STOP THIS CRAZY WOMAN!" Kiko yells.

I grip Dara's arms again, forcing her to the ground. I turn to Kiko.

"Are you okay?" I ask urgently.

"Of course I'm not... thanks to your crazy ex," she hisses, checking scratches on her arms. My gaze flickers to Dara.

"I TELL YOU THIS FOR THE LAST TIME, PARK SANDARA... LEAVE US ALONE. LEAVE ME AND KIKO ALONE. I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE, AND I NEVER WILL. I DON'T KNOW YOU ANYMORE... YOU'RE... CRAZY... AND THE NEXT TIME YOU HURT KIKO AGAIN, I SWEAR I'LL HURT YOU... PHYSICALLY," I yell, my voice raw with frustration.

Dara stares at me. I can't read her mind. The only emotions in her eyes are sorrow and anger. Nothing else. She slowly stands, looks me in the eyes. I can't see any other feeling—no fear, no love, only pain. Then... she smiles. A genuine smile, but I can feel the sorrow embedded in it. Without a word, she turns and walks away.

"Creepy... very weird and crazy," Kiko mutters. "Let's go." She climbs into the car. I watch Dara disappear into the distance as we drive off.

That was the last time I saw her. I didn't know then that as she walked away from me... she was also walking out of my life forever. After that... she was gone. No one knew where she was—not even Yuri... not even her family.

The only memory that lingered was her eyes—emotionless, filled with pain and sorrow—the eyes of someone deeply hurt.

I open my eyes. The same dream, again.

The dream I wanted to change.

The day I regretted.

I wipe the tears from my eyes, feeling the weight of the past pressing on me.
