12a.m.,
Here she is,
Lying on her bed and studying,
She hopes to get into a good college and land into a good job.

She is a nerd,
A social outcast,
A loner,
A socially awkward person.

She pushed her glasses up as,
She was trying to solve an equation of
Algebra,
She looked up to the window which was opened,
It was next to his house.

She watched as the lights in his room turned on,
Revealing a dark blue colour room with his favourite basketball team posters hanging on the walls,
Signs of a typical teenage boy's room.

In the room,
In came him and her,
He is the most popular guy in the school,
She is the most beautiful girl in the school,
They are together,
It broke her heart.

He is her childhood bestfriend,
One of her few friends she had,
Her crush,
One of people that she never wanted to let go of.

She felt tears pricked to her eyes,
Feeling that her heart is breaking even more with each second pass by,
She can't stand to see them.
So, she stood up and closed the curtains that was the way where she used to talk to him.

Ever since he joined in the school's football team,
He became popular,
One of the hottest guys in school,
And that caused him a drastic change in 180°.

She knew she would not stand a chance with a guy like him,
She felt worthless,
Vulnerable,
Broken.
At that moment,
She felt she was used whenever he only finds her for comfort and talks to her when no one talks to him.

She sighed,
Wiping the tears away from her eyes.
A smile was plastered onto her face,
She learnt that she needs to let him go,
Let him live the way he always dreamt of,
Let him be who he wants to be.

That was where
She thought,
Love is a trap,
A hallucination,
A beautiful fantasy
That everyone are trapped in.
