Bitter

If pain is not the taste of bitter,
Then what is it?
The taste of ever sweet chocolate?
The taste of bittergourd
Or the taste of medicine?

The taste of bitter lingered in both
My lips and heart
As I watched you
Holding her closer to you.

Tears dripped,
Heart wrenching,
As you
Never noticed
That I have been
Watching you
All the time.

I watched and
The bitterness entered my heart once more.
The longer I watched,
The more bitter I had became.

You are mine
And I am yours
But sadly
We are not.

Bitter, ritter,
Bitter,
You and her.
Instead of you and I.
