"Wait no don't jump!"

Were the words that had been on caitlin's arm since she took her first breath in the world.

She'd always known what it said since she could understand what everyone around her was saying, the words concerned her parents.

Out of all the ways caitlin had imagined the words said this one definitely wasn't on the list.

Scenario 1.

She was about to jump in a puddle and get her person next to her covered in water like out of one of those dramtic TV shows where some one jumos in a puddle and it disapears entirely and the person near them are completly drenched but are dry again about a minute later. she came up with that when she was 5.

Scenario 2.

She'd be about to jump out of a plane but her parachute wasn't secure. She'd always wanted to go parachuting, she came up with that when she was 9.

Scenario 3.

Or she was about to jump from the swings when they were at the highest point, she'd seen a girl a bit older do it once but she'd twisted her ankle while doing it. and her soul mate didn't want her to hurt herself. She'd come up with that when she was 11.

Scenario 4.

She was about to jump from a cliff and her soul mate had saved her. She came up with that when she was 13. Her parents were always arguing and her mother was pressing her too hard to be the best and she knew if her life carried on like this she'd kill herself.

Scenario 5.

She was about to jump of a bridge into the water below. She came up with that when she was 14. Her life got harder by the day with her mother's consent yelling and punishments for getting less then top marks.

Scenario 6.

She was about to hang herself and her tip toes were hanging over the side of the chair but her soulmate found her before she did. She came up with that at 15. Her father had just been diagnosed with cancer.

Scenario 7.

She was about to jump of the roof of her mother's building for all her employees and investers to see, for the news to see they'd maybe talk about her suicide for a week or two and in her suicide note she'd write about how her mother used to put a lock on the fridge and all the cupboards so she couldn't eat if she didn't get good grades she'd talk about how after her dad died she was locked in her room and was accused of looking to much like him, she'd talk about how she'd tried so hard to be perfect and smile instead of cry and she'd talk about how she couldn't do it anymore and how she was just so tired. Of everything. Including life. She thought her last and first words to her soulmate would be "I'm sorry"... She came up with that at 17.

When she was 18 she didn't care anymore because all the scenarios she came up a with ended up with her dead. She wondered what happened...what made her change from puddle jumping to jumping from a sky scrapper.

She sighed and traced the words on the side of her wrist she was in her friends Mias log cabin having rich friends had its perks one of them being able to go to there rarely used holiday homes for a quick get away.

After an hour of trying to go back to sleep she got out of bed and got changed it was 8 in the morning and she wanted a lie in but apparently her brain would rather her not.

She got dressed putting on a simple grey halter dress and started wodering around there weren't many cabins around they were all a 10 minuet walk apart.

She stumbled upon a river and stared at the water it was a strange colour and it some how it looked inviting so she slipped her flats of and was about to jump in full force when.

"Wait no don't jump!"

Caitlin froze "what? Can you repeat that please?"

"...I umm...I said 'no wait don't jump'... your wrist says that right?"

Caitlin nodded slowly "why don't you want me to jump?"

"It's very shallow water you would've hurt yourself"

"...I'm caitlin"

"My names Barry"

Caitlin sat down on the grassy edge to the river like pond and placed her bare feet in the cool water.

"Come sit with me?"

"Sure" Barry said and took his shoes and socks of to put his feet in the cool water too.

Caitlin caught sight of the words on his wrist and couldn't help the smile "when you imagined this why did you think I was asking you to repeat?"

Barry grinned "my name"

Caitlin tilted her head to the side wanting him to explain more.

"I thought it would go along the lines of 'Hi I'm Bartholemew Henry Allen' and you'd say-"

"What? can you repeat that please?" Caitlin filled in kicking the water

Barry laughed "yeah that's exactly what I thought would happen"

They were quite for a moment and the only noises were the birds.

"...what about you? What did you imagine?"

"...I ummm... I imagined you'd be trying to convince me not to jump of a cliff..."

"Oh... well I'm really happy that that's not the case" Barry reached for caitlins hand and stroked the words there.

"Do...y-you want to go get some tea or something?" Barry stuttered

"I do actually" caitlin said with a small smile.

The cafe they were in had chimes above the door and smelled of coffee.

Barry and Caitlin sat awkwardly across from each other caitlin ran her finger over the rim of her cup in an endless circle.

Barry's eyes followed the movement of her finger and he randomly sipped on his drink.

"So...are you here with anybody and by here I mean the lakeside"

"Oh no its just a quick get away things at home are...heated at the moment"

"Boyfriend?"

"No more like a controlling mother"

"Oh... how long are you staying?"

Caitlin shrugged "Mia said I can stay as long as I want I usually only stay a few days... I've never had a reason to stay longer"

Barry swolled "do you have one now?"

Caitlin hesitated before reaching across the table and squeezing Barry's hand "yes..."

Barry viserbly relaxed "is there anywhere you need to be today?"
