"Okay Barry this necklace is very important so you have to promise me you'll never lose it" Nora said pulling a necklace out of a dark red box.
Barry nodded "I promise"
Nora held the necklace out for him to take, it was beautiful and it was a pale pink stone in the shape of a love heart with two single silver roses warrping around and over it.

It's very pretty, where did it come from?" Barry asked mesmerised.
Nora smiled softly and watched Barry turn the stone over in his hand "the goddess of love dropped it off while you were sleeping when you were a very tiny baby"
"What did she say?"
"She didn't say anything it just appeared when you were 3 days old every baby boy gets one when there 3 days old"
"Why?" He asked curiously
"So you can find the girl who you share a soul with" Nora explained
"...is it broken? It's not lighting up like yours"
"Your dad gave me this necklace before you were born and when I touched it, it lit up that's how me and daddy knew that we were soul mates. It will only light up for the person that your going to love for the rest of your life"
Barry nodded "what happens if I break it? Or lose it?"
The thing about soul finder necklaces was they couldn't be broken that's why they weren't valuable because they couldn't be melted down and they didn't conduct electricity so they were basically worthless but they were priceless to the owners of course.
No one knew why it was only men who got the soul finder necklaces but a few people belived it was because the concept of soul mates was over a thousand years old and back then men were the ones who had to make the first move...well all the moves.
"You won't break it, it's impossible to break but if you lose it then you'll just have to find it because you only get one necklace"
Barry swolled before nodding "can you look after it so I don't lose it?" This was too much responsibility for a 10 year old.
