Countess Amelia of Transylvania

The Saga Continues..

Wow, our pack has been through a lot in the last couple of years.  Once I phased, everything seemed like it happened in fast forward.  The hardest one, besides Amelia disappearing, was the tragic death of my father, Harry Clearwater.  He was murdered by one of those blood suckers.  We had told everyone he had a heart attack because we had to keep our secret.  The people could not know what was really lurking out their in those woods.  I became Alpha and helped a lot into the transition.  Sam, Paul, Jared, Quil, Embry, Jake, my sister Leah and lastly my little brother Seth, all of us wolves, all of us a pack.  We were sworn to protect our land against vampires.  We had a treaty with the Cullen's, a local coven of vampires.  They only fed on animals, but could not cross or hunt on our land.

Our lives seemed to all be centered around Bella.  I did not mind though, I felt in keeping her safe, I was somehow staying with Amelia and keeping her spirit alive.  The only problem I had was she was in love with one of them, a Cullen.  At the same time, however, she was in love with Jacob too.  For Jacob the feelings were mutual, I felt horrible for him.  Bella was with him, Jacob would never stand a chance.  The bloodsucker left for awhile and all seemed right, until it wasn't.  Long story short, she saved him and now they are back together.  They are getting married and soon Bella will be one of them.  Poor Jacob, he never imprinted on Bella, but he still loves her.  He will lose her, she will die.  I understand what he was going through completely.

In the 5 years she has been gone, I have never imprinted.  I believe she is my soul mate and since she is gone, I will be alone forever.  I do have a purpose, at least, for now.  I am Alpha and I have a pack to lead.  Bella will eventually be one of them and if she ever breaks the treaty, we will have to kill her.  Could I do that?  Could I kill the little sister of the one woman who I loved more than anything?  Bella is family, but once she becomes one of them I can not protect her anymore nor can Jacob.  

I was not a huge fan of the Cullen's, but I kept nice for Bella.  I know Amelia would want her sister to be happy and she would accept it just for that reason.  Carlisle has helped us so much, I will be forever indebted to him.  Every time we have gotten hurt, he is there to help us heal and put us back together.  For being a vampire, Edward is pretty good to Bella and does love her, so I do respect that.  Alice has to be my favorite, her and Jasper, they accept you no matter what and with open arms.  I can always see the sympathy in there eyes when they see me.  Everything that happened with Amelia, they understand what kind of hell Bella and I have been through.  So for Bella to find happiness that is something, even though I am sure I will never have mine.

Bella wanted me to come with her to the Cullen's today, she said it had to do with their upcoming graduation.

"Bells, you look beautiful as usual."

"Thank you brother, your not so shabby yourself."

As we headed through Forks, all I could picture was Amelia smiling and beaming with pride.

When we parked and got out, all the Cullen's met us.

"Brent, how are you?"

"Im doing alright Carlisle."

"Please do come in."

As he kisses Bella on the cheek, we all settled in the front room.

"Alright, what is the big meeting about?"

"Alice, care to get Brent up to speed on the plans for graduation."

"My  pleasure...."  As she was trying to continue, the glass of water she was bringing me fell out of her hands and shattered on the floor.

"Alice, what is it?"  Jasper whispered, everyone gathered around.  Alice was having a vision.

"The Volturi, they went to her Majesty."

"Her Majesty?"

"Yes Bella, Our Queen lives in Transylvania."

"But I thought the Volturi were the highest royalty in the vampire world..."

"They enforce our laws and give out punishments, but no the highest was Count Dracula and now his daughter is our Queen."

"Count Dracula is real?  He has a daughter?  Wow, but wait what does that have to do with us or me?"

"Bella, they went to The Queen about you, about you and Edward."  Alice responds in panic.

"Alice, what is her Majesty's ruling?"  Carlisle presses.

"She can't see it, Alice can not see our Queen."  Edward explains, reading Alice's mind.
