CAN'TTAKETHIS! "U-UHM, yeah m-my day has uh been uh...good, yeah. Yours?" Why the stutter though? "Heh, same. You know what we're doing?" She asked. "Nah, Miss hasn't said anything yet." "Okay." I went back to my drawing in my book, even though I'm technically not supposed too. But hey, everyone does this, I thought to myself.

5 minutes later, which was BORING. The married teacher, which is what Peridot was called her, as she didn't know her name. Who was now calling the roll. "Jasper?" "Here" said a girl in he front row. In fact, it was the white-haired, muscly girl she saw earlier. Oh, so that's Jasper. I will gladly stay the fuck. Away. From her. As soon as Jasper's name was said, Peridot looked at Lapis. Because I'm in love with her, duh! Baka! But when she looked at her hopefully future wife, she saw something she didn't want to.

Lapis was crying. She had her head on her desk, crying quietly so no one would notice. Did this always happen? She thought, to no one in particular. "Lapis...what's wrong?". Lapis sniffed, "N-nothing, and you can't fix it anyways.." Said Lapis, sniffing once again to not let her boogers out. "Well, if I can't help,...can you still tell me? I'd like to know." Lapis's throat blocked up in response, like she didn't know what to say in response, which she didn't. "F-fine...I'll t-tell you at...lunch?" "Yes, you will tell me at lunch."

The teacher continued on, asking for names such as Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, Blue and so on. Why is everybody named after a mineral in this stupid town? Then The Married Teacher got to her name. "Peridot...Diamond?!" She said, surprised. "Umm yea that's m-" "Diamond? As in Aquamarine Diamond?" "Umm, yes that's my mother. How do you all know her?" And at that precise moment, the bell went for break.

Lapis shot out of the class before anyone else even noticed. Jasper, however, had a shit-eating grin on her face as Lapis raced out of the classroom, tears still welling. Peridot raced right after her, shouldering Jasper hardly, as she noticed Jasper, before dashing after Lapis.
