I've tried to keep the real me contained,
but I'm still left feeling ashamed,
hiding my tears in darkness.
If only I weren't chained,
to a facade I have claimed.
I'd be happy with myself.Under my disguise,
I lay upon a bed of lies,
suffocating in darkness.
If only I could open my eyes,
and see clear blue skies.
I'd be happy with myself.By myself, I'm lead astray,
pushing everyone away,
left alone in darkness.
If only I could say,
I got someone to stay.
