unbelievable.

like ethan would ever have a violent bone in his body, especially not towards me.

"ethan is perfect. he won't do anything harmful"

"that's what i thought about brandon, bex. you can't always trust the past. things change. people change" she said the last part slower, causing it to sink in a little more.

i walked right past her.

"iridessa" i yelled up the stairs.

"yeah?"

"let's go. we're leaving."

"are you sure this is the best idea" iridessa looks at me, nervously.

"no. but it's all i can currently think of."

"don't listen to your sister" she put her hand on my shoulder.

"i believe she's wrong, trust me. but i'm just making sure for myself, to prove her wrong." i unbuckle my seatbelt.

"okay. stay-"

"i don't need you to tell me to stay safe. nothing bad is going to happen." i say sternly.

i can't have my best friend doubting me too.

i walk over to the gigantic house standing proudly in front of me. my head spins back to the car, glancing at iridessa before i walk over to the right side of the house.

luckily ethan's room is on the bottom floor.

i look into the window, and see him laying down, playing on his phone. my knuckles lightly tap on the thick glass, catching ethan's attention. he walks over and opens it, not looking very surprised. i finally got through the window, balancing myself on the dark wooden floor.

"hey i didn't know you were com-" i cut ethan off by crashing my lips onto his. he doesn't hesitate for one second, kissing me back immediately.

"hey" i pull away.

"what was that for" he laughed.

"do you love me?" i get right to the point.

"what?" he looks scared.

"do you-"

"bexley, i love you more than anything." he said, pulling me into a tight hug.

"okay" i smile against his chest.

"please never think otherwise" he almost whispered, his voice filled with sadness.

"i won't. i promise."
