The first thing you ever played for me was something you wrote. Looking back now, I can't remember what you called it. Each chord you strummed made me feel like flying, and lying there with you was probably part of that too.
"That was beautiful, Evan." I gasped as you packed away the instrument that left me breathless.
"Haha, sure." You shrugged off the compliment like you did with all of them. I never fully understood why, you deserved more than what you given.
"You want to grab something to eat?" You had a way with changing the subject, and you were good at it too.
"No, I actually have to head home, Benjimen needs to be fed." I sighed as I sat up.
"Who?" In that moment I saw how much you cared with jealous you got over my cat.
"Benjimen is my cat, dude. It's okay." I chuckled as wiped grass off the back of my legs.
"Oh.." You mumbled a lot when you were embarrassed. It was adorable.
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow, right?" I called as you walked off.
"Uh, yeah. Yes, you will." You yelled as walked away.
That night Benjimen and I had the biggest discussion on you. We both agreed that I loved you. I just didn't know it yet.
