Another hour had passed and Jody was still staring at the numbers spread across the table, what is the pattern? She looked at the map again trying to think of a possible reason why she would go to the Elf shore, she pushed herself up off the couch and walked to the kitchen. In the cupboard were supplies that could last her and her team about 6 weeks, if they needed it, the fact that it was just her, left upset her. Then it hit her "Tristan!" she ran to the door, looking out at the forest surrounding her, looking for any sign of life coming her way. She was so caught up in figuring out what the numbers were for that she never thought about anyone else who could have escaped. " What have I done, what if someone else needs to get across the lake?" she ran to put her boots on and sprinted out of the door, leaving it open behind her.

"So you got the plan?" there was fire in Tristan's eyes he was ready for this, he was ready to do whatever it took to survive. Daniel looked up at him wide eyed as if he was just seeing him for the first time "that's your plan, are you serious? that's going to get us both killed!"
"Do you have any better idea's?" eye brows flaring, he was annoyed, he is never second guessed by the team, well all except for Jody. she always made the plans better, she made them safer with a higher chance of all of
them getting out alive, Tristan didn't, he worked on impulse, the first thing that he thought of was plan A, and there was rarely a plan B. "Fine, so you just want me to sit here and act like nothing's going on." there was mockery in his voice, he was trying to make Tristan feel stupid, feel as though he needed to change the full plan and start again but they were running out of time."First of all this is a good plan, i have learned from a friend how to observe every situation in fine detail, i have only been here for around 8 hours so that means it is almost 11 O'clock, Jody always said that the King walks this corridor at exactly 11:22 every morning on his way to the west tower, she was never able to find out why but she did notice that all guards except for one is brought along, the only one left stands outside this very door and comes in while the group walks past. If i can make him come into my cell i can take him out, the only problem is that the second guard always returns within four minutes of leaving." he was whispering now as the guards stopped talking. "this plan still sounds mad, how are we going to get out of the building, when the other guard comes back he is going to notice a dead soldier lying on the floor." Daniel threw his arms up in disbelief.
"I'm not going to kill him, i'm going to knock him out, anyway we can block the door at the bottom of the tower, there was a table with a vase sitting on it in the hall at the bottom of the tower, we will push it in front of the door and jam it shut. It won't stop them but it will hold them back until we get out of the building, then we run to the lake. If you are right and Jody did escape that means the boat would be gone, which means we will have to swim." Daniels cheeks flamed red "I can't swim." Tristan was worried, once the guards got the door open it wouldn't be long before they were at their tails. " It's okay if Jody is as smart as i know she is, she would have put the boat back and swam across the lake to the safe house again." They both nodded in agreement, the girl who escaped a full castle of guards would be smart enough to return the boat to the starting point.

The guards were at the other side of the lake guns at the ready, watching for movement in the trees, but Jody was five steps ahead as usual, she had set up a trap filled with empty food cans hoping an animal would smell it and go for it sending a crash of noise through the forest, Crash!! Their heads snapped around in the direction of the noise, slowly the guards walked in the direction she wanted them to, guns held high ready to shoot and jody knew they would without hesitation. She scanned the area before getting in the boat and rowing to the other side, watching the tree line as she rowed. She knew that she wouldn't have much time to get to the other side before the guards would come back, she could already hear them talking as they walked back, angry that they had been mislaid by a sixteen year old girl. Jody jumped into the river, not caring about the loud splash rising as her body hit the water, she wasn't very good at swimming, she never learned how to swim properly, when she thought about it she never really learned how to do anything properly, everything has been trial and improvement for her.
