"That is my sister, she has done nothing wrong in this world, why do you hunt her?" Daniel shouted at the top of his lungs, a crowd of people were crowded around him, he could see his sister standing, a noose looped round her neck.

Tears pricked at his eyes, the plan had gone so well, the king actually looked like he was listening, until people started to drop to the floor unconscious, a mad panic started and now we are here.

********

They had arrived an hour early, to scope out the area and pick posts to stand at, they sat in a bar looking out into the square. Of course they would have it in the square they can punish anyone right here Infront of the town.

The king stepped out into the middle, making his speech about taxes when all of the fallen who worked with hannah, stood and shouted, "We are humans too, we deserve rights too, why do you kill people of your own kind." There were only about seven of them and there protest didn't have the desired effect.

The king just carried on speaking and then the crowd started dropping like flies. The fallen surrounding the king dropped their hands and guards seized them, pushing them towards the gallows. Daniel wasn't meant to do anything he was there for what Hannah said 'moral support' but of course he would end up saving everyone.

"Let them go, That is my sister she has done nothing wrong in this world, why do you hunt her?" The crowd started to lift themselves off the floor suddenly becoming aware of where they were again. Some started shouting,' kill them", others said "there dangerous, they are evil."

Daniel stood on a box so he could be seen over the shouting crowd, " stop it can't you see you are the evil ones, the only crimes they have committed was coming here today to try and get equal rights as us."

The king stepped closer to Hannah his foot leaning against the box, he couldn't see Daniel form where he stood but he knew the direction he was, he stared out at the crowd, " your sister is evil, she is the daughter of the devil. No one should have magic like this, no one. She is a danger to all and I will not let her be a danger anymore." Daniel was moving through the crowd closer to the gallows. He clasped the knife in his pocket that Hannah had given him that morning she whispered to him,"only for emergencies." To Daniel this was an emergency. The king's foot pushed at the box under Hannah's feet and Daniel ran up onto the stage and cut the noose before it snapped her neck.

Hannah raised her hands to try stop the guards who were running to the stage, the crowd behind them started to drop once again. "Daniel, thank you but you need to run." All of a sudden Daniel felt light headed and he collapsed to the floor. The last thing he saw was Hannah with a worried expression stretching across her face.

He woke in the cell he had met Tristan in, he didn't no how long it had been and he also didn't know where Hannah was.

He pestered the guards for weeks before they broke and told him everything, how they ran once the they found out the couldn't take everyone down, that they have been in hiding every since, that they are all alive.

He had nightmares ever since, Hannah's body hanging in the gallows, her face turning purple. He saw it every night but something told him that the fight wasn't over and that he would be part of it again someday.

Jody's hand brushed against Tristan's skin as she twisted and distorted his facial features, she had finished his eyes which was obviously uncomfortable for him, mostly because her fingers were poking into his eyes but also because he had to look into hers, if he didn't he could have ended up with two pupils in one eye. Magic was a tricky skill, especially when no one could teach you how to use it unless you had a similar power. As far as Jody knew she was the only person who could mess with peoples bodies, the only person who could change how someone looks, and Tristan seemed to be the only person who could use the elements around him to his will.

"OW!" Tristan twisted on the stool pulling his face away from Jody's hands " It feels like you are sewing my skin together." Jody grabbed his face and pulled him forward they were so close that she could feel his breath move her eyelashes as he breathed out. "Don't move," she yelped "You could mess it up and technically i am sewing your skin together, i am trying to make you look different, its not easy." Tristan's shoulders slumped as he blew out an exasperated breath, his eyes kept wondering around the alley, no one had walked by in hours. It was quiet except for the rats mulling around old bins, but Tristan knew that they wouldn't find anything, he had saw Daniel rummaging around them earlier looking for something to lie down on. Daniel was asleep at the opposite side of the wall, mumbling ever so slightly.

Jody pulled away from him,"Done." She said, Tristan noticed how much that had drained her but she wasn't going to stop until Daniel was done as well. "Daniel, your turn."

"Jody, you should take a break, just rest for a bit. You look awful." Jody looked up at him, disgust in her eyes, "did you just say i look awful? you do know you are not meant to say that to a lady, it's said to make them crazy, or go of on a rampage to kill you and remember its easier for me to do that." Daniel looked up puzzles but startled as well by what he was hearing. Silence.

Suddenly and very loudly, Jody Laughed, one of the most hearty laughs Tristan had ever heard and he liked it. Alot.
