She sat for that brief station switch in quiet. She could feel the boys eyes glued to her. She turned her music up louder, hoping the boy would realize she wasn't interested, even if he was the cutest boy she had ever seen. Instead she thought of the screenplay she wanted to write and the movie she wanted to direct. She wanted to be just like Greta Gerwig. She wanted to tell the story of a girl who was in love with books, and she made all of her decisions based off of characters in books. If the girl had a problem she would open up a book and the first quote she saw, she would find a way to help her. The girl had dreamed and even wrote some of the plot line for this movie many times. After she realized her love for movies, she knew that is what she wanted to do forever.
The boy was curious as to what she was thinking of so intently because every so often her lips would curl into a small smile. He thought about how cute she was, but also about his past. He loved what he did for so long, but eventually he hit a wall. He lost most of his teenage years to it all. It occupies all of his time. He remembered how much fun he had whenever he was filming Stranger Things and IT and The Turning. He remembered his time spent with Ayla, Jack and Malcolm recording. He smiled thinking about all of that, but then remembered that Stranger Things ended, IT was only one summer, and The Turning took him away from his family. He thought about the big fight the band got in, causing it to crumble. Ever since, this work held him down. He no longer loved it. He no longer felt excited to get up. He wanted to love it again, he really did. If only there was a way to take a break, and also find the love again.
When the girl noticed the boy was no longer staring at her, she took a good look at him. He look depressed and stressed and over all a wreck. Her curiosity took over, she leaned towards him to ask him what was wrong, but then the train slammed to a stop and she took it as a sign not to. She sighed gently. He whipped his head to look at her, after she sighed. He really wanted to know what her deal was, he wanted to know her. But, she would probably freak out once she found out who he was, and he didn't want that.
He wanted to talk to her.
She wanted to talk to him.
But neither of them wanted to talk first.
